Her debut single Once, which entered at the top last Sunday, is presently the week’s third top seller with Plan B’s She Said and Jive/RCA’s Until You Were Gone by Chipmunk featuring Emsee Denters completing the top five. Apart from Roll Deep, only two other new entries show up in the Top 40 at this point in the week: Glee Cast’s cover of Madonna’s 1989 chart-topper Like A Prayer and Ash’s Mind Control on the Atomic Heart label, although 679/Atlantic’s Marina & The Diamonds look like scoring a second Top 40 hit with I Am Not A Robot as it moves up from its chart position of 61 achieved last Sunday. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Albums Usher is facing strong challenges from Plan B and London-based grime act Roll Deep as he bids to the top the UK singles and albums charts simultaneously for the second time in his career. The LaFace/RCA act’s brand new album Raymond V Raymond has opened a narrow lead over 679/Atlantic act Plan B’s The Defamation Of Strickland Banks, according to OCC data, while his will.i.am collaboration OMG is just ahead of Relentless/Virgin-signed Roll Deep’s Good Times on singles at this stage in the week. If the Usher singles and albums do remain at one when the final charts are published this coming Sunday it will match his feat in April 2004 when he topped the singles chart with Yeah, while at the same time leading the albums market with Confessions. Usher’s album is one of four newly-released albums among the Top 10 sellers so far this week, with Columbia-handled Bullet For My Valentine’s Fever currently in fourth place, Epic’s latest Glee Cast album, Glee - The Music – The Power Of Madonna, fifth and Universal Island’s self-titled Port Isaac’s Fisherman’s Friends seventh. Three other newly-issued albums figure between positions 11 to 20, led by veteran James Last whose UMTV-released Eighty Not Out marks his 80th birthday. April 27, 201016 yr Author Feel free to predict. :unsure: Usher could do the double this week, and the more I think about it, Roll Deep are going to peak at #2 hence cherry picking the album.
April 27, 201016 yr I think the album will be very close between Glee, Usher and Plan B tbh... I think Glee will start out behind today but may overtake due to the episode only airing yesterday... Usher to go back to #1 in the singles. Kind of funny that it'll be the 3rd time in a year Will.I.Am has achieved that :lol:
