May 7, 201015 yr I just can't get over how tuneless and generic it is! Plodding, uninteresting beat and a horrible use of autotune or whatever that noise is.
May 7, 201015 yr Author I really don't know what to think about this anymore. I like it but the autotune annoys me.. I think it will be a grower though whereas I've liked all their other singles instantly. The sample works well & I know the lyrics are a bit :| but I like the bit where Astons talking about spotlights and the "You can be the DJ bit..." Its catchy..
May 7, 201015 yr I just can't get over how tuneless and generic it is! Plodding, uninteresting beat and a horrible use of autotune or whatever that noise is. Took the words right out of my mouth. I can't believe Popjustice bigged this up so much :o
May 7, 201015 yr Oh dear. Absolutely dreadful. Not one song i've liked from them and don't intend to anytime soon
May 7, 201015 yr Took the words right out of my mouth. I can't believe Popjustice bigged this up so much :o They've been WAY off on so many things recently that I've long stopped taking 'AMAZING.' as gospel. They should seriously stop hyping up everything  Some of their 'songs of the day' recently have been seriously dire too.
May 7, 201015 yr This is awful. A complete rip-off of 'Boom Boom Pow', but it doesn't flow as smoothly, and just sounds like 3 different songs stuck together. It's just rather cringey, overrall, too. :( I expected them to have moved up a bit, but they've just taken a massive tumble backwards. :(
May 7, 201015 yr Pretty much agree with everyone else's opinions tbh. Just pretty tuneless and generic, I guess the hook is okay but other than that it's rather awful. :( Still pretty sure it'll go #01 just because it's them.
May 7, 201015 yr I admit this song is quite catchy, but what the hell at all that autotune! destroys their voices totally It will get number 1 because its them, still doesnt deserve it
May 7, 201015 yr I'm really starting to like this now :o As for the comparisons to "Boom Boom Pow" - this is quite good, a grower, I may find it amazing after a few more listens. "Boom Boom Pow" however, was awful every single time I heard it :puke2:
May 7, 201015 yr ^^ I'm the opposite! I loved 'Boom boom Pow' on first listen and still do, it's one of my favourite songs from last year. As for this 'song', I hope I never have to hear it again, although I know it's impossible as it'll be everywhere in a month or so. I can't see/hear anything good about it whatsoever though and I really don't get the 'Boom Boom Pow' comparisons either - one's a soon-to-be classic (imo) and one is just a complete mess! :(
May 7, 201015 yr Yet another song that sounds like it's made by the Black Eyed Peas! It's quite amazing the influence they're having to be honest. I did think this sounded a bit like Boom Boom Pow, but not to the same extent as OMG does (which is also huge at the moment). I actually think this is the best JLS single yet, even though it doesn't seem like a JLS song. I like the Sound of Music sample, and I think it's catchy. I think this song will be more popular worldwide than Everybody in Love and One Shot, that's presuming JLS actually manage to ever make it big in other countries. And while we're on Boom Boom Pow, for me, I hated the song until a matter of weeks after it got to number-one (for the 2nd time). I realized that I was listening to the song wrong. I was listening for harmonies, crescendos, etc. It bugged me that the song had no clear chorus. That "ooooo" sound in the background really put me off. When I realized what the song was REALLY about (the beat, syncopation, "let the beat rock", etc.), I realized it was one of the most catchy things I ever heard. I read somewhere that Boom Boom Pow was the best-selling song in the world last year, which I don't think anybody would've predicted, on their first listen.

May 8, 201015 yr Oh my god! :o This is horrible :( I like the melody and beat to it, but the autotune just ruins the song completely along with the lyrics. "You could be the DJ, I could be the dancefloor. :puke: :puke2:

Really? :o I would have expected maybe the third biggest selling song in the world last year, behind "I Gotta Feeling" & "Poker Face", but all three were huge around the world
May 8, 201015 yr I surprisingly love this! :o I despise JLS but this song is really something. Their best from what I've heard from them (I've heard the three singles). I want to thank JLS for being less pointless during this new era.
May 8, 201015 yr The beat in the chorus just reminds me of the American Pie dance Jim does. It's in perfect sync for that dance.
May 8, 201015 yr I adore Savan Kotecha's songs so expected to love this too, but it's terrible... the auto tune so rubs me the wrong way.
