I love all of them but CG will defo move up but I haven't listened to it too much atm so it doesn't warrant being higher than the others as I still love them all after massively raping them all.

I'm hooked to 'California Gurls' after just TWO plays :kink: such a summer anthem, hope its a #1 SMASH in the US & UK and worldwide :dance:

To this day I fail to see the real attraction to Kissed A Girl - it sounds dreadful these days. There's an unfortunate gap aswell between the quality of Hot N Cold and Waking Up In Vegas, the top 2 in my list are just miles ahead of the others as far as im concerned.

I don't know why 'I Kissed A Girl' is so looked down upon now, especially considering everyone seemed obsessed when it was first released. :( I still love it and it's a pop classic for me.

I agree with Rocket that I Kissed a Girl is a pop classic. But it's so unfair how Thinking Of You is underrated. The lyrics is amazing. Just so underrated it's a crime :( It's one of the best pop ballads ever.

California Gurls sounds like 'Tik Tok' to me :kink:.

 

 

What happened to Katy's pop/rock sound. It seems she is just doing what everyone else is doing pop/electro/dance.

'Futuristic Lover' has leaked in full and it is amazing! I love it. Also a snippet of a song called 'E.T.' (but it's apparently supposed to be called 'In Between' or something :wacko:) that sounds like classic Katy (SOS7 you'll be happy to hear :P). This album is going to be something pretty special. :D

I love Katy... there's something about her I find extremely appealing. Maybe it's the fact she doesn't take herself too seriously yet she doesn't come across as a gimmick.

California Gurls is definitely not so original (it actually sounds like a complete rip-off of Tik Tok) but it has that sweet summer vibe that makes you happy and I love this song so much.I think it's gonna be her second #1 in US :)

It'll make sense, no doubt, soundtracking festival montages on T4, but this is a pretty lightweight comeback tune. It feels, strangely, like the sort of release one might expect to hear from a new artist fighting for attention in the wake of Ke$ha's success, not the comeback single from an artist who has already achieved international multi platinum sales.

 

From a singer who so quickly and effectively established her own identity this feels a bit half-hearted - shouldn't Katy be one step ahead of newer acts, not falling in line behind them?

I was hoping she'd go more in this direction than an album mostly full of tracks sounding like early Hilary Duff rejects, although you're right, it's came at a time when loads of other people are doing it too.
