Haha. 'Peacock' is growing on me quite a bit though. Especially now i've seen a live performance of it.

This video is amazing! It looks like the album is a flippy open booklet type style instead of a plastic case. Also, it looks like the text will be on the front cover of the booklet, but not the actual CD case. :)

Its smells nice! Its not very strong but you can just smell it. :D The actual CD smells more of candy floss than the booklet though. :)

Did anyone else watch the Katy Perry Album Chart Show tonight? She was fantastic! She sang, I Kissed A Girl, Cali Gurls, Teenage Dream and Peacock, plus an interview. :)

 

Its repeated tomorrow morning on Ch4 if anyone missed it. :)

Teenage Dream 8.5. Good song, it is a great album title too. The song shows the whole sound of the album perfectly.

Last Friday Night 10. Brilliant! I love the saxophone part, I love how she ends the lines in the verses, the song is unique and brilliantly produced.

California Gurls 5. I was very disappointed by this single when I first heard it. It has grown on me but I still don't like it.

Firework 8. One of two Stargate productions on the album, the chorus shows the strength of Katy's voice.

Peacock 10. The song is pure fun! And it's quite underrated. Perfect album track but I wouldn't want it as the single.

Circle the Drain 7. Not a fan of this but it's still melodical and the chorus is good too.

The One That Got Away 8.5. Quite Kelly Claskson-ish but it's not a bad thing. Love the chorus and 'uh-wo-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh' or whatever bit too.

E.T. 10 The third 10/10 song on the album, the beat reminds me of the certain song by Queen, the synths are typical Dr.Luke but overall the song is great.

Who Am I living for 9. The songs starts quite boringly but then when the chorus kicks in... I can't resist! Love it.

Pearl 7.5. Good song but nothing groundbreaking.

Hummingbird Heartbeat 5. Totally not a fan, the worst song along with 'Gurls'.

Not Like the Movies 8. Good song, it's very lyrical and I like it as the end of the album.

 

The singles should be

3rd - E.T.

4th - Who am I living for ???

 

 

I got my cd yesterday with HMV on pre order and thankfully prints are the same square size as the CD case so if (like me!) the text annoys anyone too much, you can do what I've done and slot the print of Katy lying on the candy floss without text in front of the booklet. :thumbup:

 

Love the album have it on now blasting out :cheer: Will rate it when I'm finished :)

Opening the CD case to this album makes me want to raid a sweet shop :lol:

I freaking love this! 'Peacock' was my favourite!

 

I hope the album gets to the Top 2 next week.

Have listened to the album all the way through several times now and I LOVE it, it's pop perfection for me, the only one I'm ever so slightly tempted to skip is 'Who Am I Living For?' but even that's a solid 7 for me.

 

Teenage Dream - Loved it on first listen, never gets boring, just love it, love it, love it, surprisingly this and not Cali Gurls is my soundtrack of the summer. 10

Last Friday Night - Fab! Will become the soundtrack to my girly night outs from now on. LOVE that sax another 10

California Gurls - Perhaps suffering from overplay now, it's still a great summer pop song, that sounds great when the sun is shining 8

Firework - I wasn't immediately taken with this, considering it's many people's highlight but I get it now, very uplifting 8

Peacock - Just fun! puts a smile on my face and very addictive 9

Circle The Drain - Hated this on preview but really like it in full 8

The One That Got Away - Aww I love this, it's very simple but cute, reminds you of teenage days9

E.T. - ADORE, most played already 10

Who Am I Living For? - Not one I especially keep coming back to, but it's growing on every listen 7

Pearl - Really lovely and Katy sounds pretty good on it, nice lyrics9

Hummingbird Heartbeat - Most addictive, been in my head all day, really reminds me of 80s films for some random reason. Cheesy but I LOVE it 10

Not Like The Movies - A perfect album closer, not normally a fan of Katy ballads with the exception of the amazing Thinking of You, but really like this8

 

My ratings are pretty high there but I really do love the album, just great pop :thumbup:
