I hope this goes #1 in the UK this week (both single and album) that would be amazing

I hope her album sales will be in the region of 50k above.

AMAZING, is what it smells like - mine was VERY strong candyfloss - seriously my room smells of it as soon as you walk in.

My rate after 1 listen:

10 Teenage Dream

09 Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)

11 California Gurls

10 Firework

10 Peacock

08 Circle The Drain

09 The One That Got Away

09 E.T.

08 Who Am I Living For?

09 Pearl

08 Hummingbird Heartbeat

09 Not Like The Movies

I stand by the fact - there's not a song worse than 8/10 on there...

Edited by Robot

Will do my rate soon, i know this though; Hummingbird Heartbeat will be an 11!

:P :D

I sooo want her to have a chart double this week, bloody Olly Murs!!

'not like the movies' is what every album closer should sound like.
Amazing album. My favourite album track is probably 'Hummingbird Heartbeat' or 'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)', although the majority of the tracks are awesome!

Teenage Dream #2 and #23 on iTunes.

I really want it to give Olly Murs a run for his money.

Right, I'm on my third listen now, so this is how I rate the album. :)

10.0 Teenage Dream

09.0 Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)

10.0 California Gurls

10.0 Firework

10.0 Peacock

08.0 Circle The Drain

07.5 The One That Got Away

08.5 E.T.

07.5 Who Am I Living For?

08.0 Pearl

10.0 Hummingbird Heartbeat

08.5 Not Like The Movies

So yes, a very strong follow-up, I probably prefer it to 'One of the Boys' overall too! :o My favourite is obviously still 'California Gurls', and my next single choices would be 'Firework' and 'Hummingbird Heartbeat', although I can see them using 'E.T.' as a single, which unfortunately I am slightly over plus the fact I prefer the "demo" version. :(

I've had a quick listen.

''Teenage Dream'' remains my favourite, such a cool summer anthem.

''California Gurls'' made sense as lead but I found it hard to like.

''Firework'' is another highlight, being next single would be logical.

I found ''Last Friday Night'' a bit flat in comparison.

is really wanna know what this smells like now. is the album in one of those cardboard sleeves like the last coldplay album so that people can smell it in the shop or is it in the booklet behind the plastic like normal albums?

i really need to give this a listen. i like california girls and teenage dream and the songs she released from her last album so i'm guessing i'll like it

10.0 Teenage Dream

09.0 Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)

10.0 California Gurls

09.5 Firework

09.5 Peacock

08.5 Circle The Drain

09.0 The One That Got Away

08.0 E.T.

06.5 Who Am I Living For?

06.0 Pearl

07.5 Hummingbird Heartbeat

08.0 Not Like The Movies

Very strong album, the only ones I'm not keen on are 'Who Am I Living For?' and 'Pearl', the rest is pretty good and 'Teenage Dream' remains my song of the year.

'The One That Got Away' is very underrated as well, loving the lyrics and the chorus in particular . It's so cute.

'Circle The Drain' = BEST SONG ON THE ALBUM. <3

Followed by 'Firework'

ALSO, 'Teenage Dream' REALLY reminds me of the song by New Radicals 'You Get What You Give'

my rate after three more listens:

10: Teenage Dream

10: Last Friday Night

09: California Gurls (ft. Snoop Dogg)

08: Firework

10: Peacock

09: Circle the Drain

09: The One That Got Away

10: E.T.

07: Who Am I Living For?

09: Pearl

09: Hummingbird Heartbeat

10: Not Like the Movies

'e.t.' is still my favourite, followed very closely by 'peacock'. 'firework' has grown on me a bit also, I heard it in hmv while I was buying the album too so I suppose that's a bonus kinda.

my order of preference:

E.T.

Peacock

Teenage Dream

Last Friday Night

Not Like the Movies

Hummingbird Heartbeat

California Gurls (ft. Snoop Dogg)

Pearl

Circle the Drain

The One That Got Away

Firework

Who Am I Living For?

and my own personal way of telling if I prefer 'teenage dream' over 'one of the boys', a versus:

One of the Boys vs. Teenage Dream

I Kissed a Girl vs. Last Friday Night

Waking Up in Vegas vs. California Gurls (ft. Snoop Dogg)

Thinking of You vs. Firework

Mannequin vs. Peacock

Ur So Gay vs. Circle the Drain

Hot 'n' Cold vs. The One That Got Away

If You Can Afford Me vs. E.T.

Lost vs. Who Am I Living For?

Self Inflicted vs. Pearl

I'm Still Breathing vs. Hummingbird Heartbeat

Fingerprints vs. Not Like the Movies

well looks like I do prefer 'teenage dream'. :P

I just don't GET why nobody seems to love Who Am I Living For? - melodically, vocally, lyrically it's amazing and the production is insane. What are you not all hearing that I am?! It's miles better than the Circle The Drain as far as the hard-edged songs on the album go.

Whilst 'Who Am I Living For?' is still great, it's not a 'stand out' - it doesn't have anything that makes me want to go back and listen to it on repeat, where as 'Circle The Drain' has an incredible chorus and just the whole song is more punchy. Well for me anyway, but everyone will of course have their favourites, like I don't particularly get the love for 'Peacock'

Still loving this album, walked into HMV this morning and 'Circle The Drain' was blasting out whilst the shop was full of mums and kids browsing on the last few days of the summer holidays. Sure enough the chorus got some shocking looks particularly as it really was so loud, one mum looked so embarrassed.

Circle The Drain is actually the one that has grown on me the most, I really love it now, I tend to seek it straight away but I love the whole album, just listening to it now with headphones for the first time, and it sounds really great, Katy's vocals sound so much stronger through headphones particularly on Firework.

Katy is on Alan Carr's last Chatty Man with fellow guests Paul O Grady, Brandon Flowers and Davina McCall. Can't wait!

My "Versus" of her two albums...

One of the Boys vs. Teenage Dream

I Kissed a Girl vs. Last Friday Night

Waking Up in Vegas vs. California Gurls (ft. Snoop Dogg)

Thinking of You vs. Firework

Mannequin vs. Peacock

Ur So Gay vs. Circle the Drain

Hot 'n' Cold vs. The One That Got Away [FFS! Two of the best from each album! :(]

If You Can Afford Me vs. E.T. [2nd hardest to choose from! :(]

Lost vs. Who Am I Living For?

Self Inflicted vs. Pearl [LOL. This is the equivalent of Kelly Clarkson vs. Coldplay for me!]

I'm Still Breathing vs. Hummingbird Heartbeat [Verrry hard :(]

Fingerprints vs. Not Like the Movies

7 vs. 4

I wouldn't have liked to have been in there when Peacock was playing, :drama: :P
