I mean, the joke wasn't funny in the first place, but then they spent the first half of the episode making that same joke, again, and again. The only bit that made me laugh was when he had a fit on the floor in the kitchen, but it still wasn't that funny.

Yeah. I think I must be missing something, because my friends at school always talked about how hilarious is was, and when I watched it, I was like "This is it?!". The Jesus storyline I found very funny, and the scene where Brian and Stewie destroyed the record was very funny too, but the whole "Bird is the word" thing wasn't, unless there's some hidden joke in it, which I'm not getting. The kitchen scene was funny, just because of how stupid it was, but the rest of the Surfin' Bird plot was reptitive and boring for me.

 

I do like Family Guy btw. Infact, I watched 2 episodes of it on BBC Three yesterday, but I just never found that particular storyline funny.
