Maybe it's better if we wait out the experiment one contest? We've all had to deal with the chance of DNQ'ing, and if - just if - the poll afterwards shows a dislike to the one big final idea from most of the countries, there would still be new changes to adapt for the new countries. Imo to introduce the new countries to the bjsc the way it has been for ages, is probably most suitable atm?

 

Not trying to be a pain in the ass though :drama:

 

And with the extra time, there could be some more planning ahead for the one big final, to make it an even better experiment/get the most out of it?

I'm all for BJSC26, newbies will most likely be quite put away by the change after participating only in one contest, first they participate in the 'old' BJSC, then we go ahead and experiment. Then it fails (although that's hardly happening :kink: ) or poll results will be for keeping everything the same and we will have to get back to the old system. More complicated than if the experiment was held right now isn't it?

That does seem more complicated, yes. But if everything turns back to 'normal' after the experiment, then the new countries would already be familiar with the 'old' system. Although I think they can handle whatever format we start with and/or end with :P It's not THAT complicated.

To be honest, I think you're underestimating the mental capacity of the newbies :P I'm sure they can deal with learning a different system regardless of which order we do it in...

 

Anyway, just to clear it up, would you be fine with trialling the one big final experiment for this contest Rob? If not, then it's fine to do it for XXVII. You can go on ahead and open the banlist today BTW ^_^

 

Oh, and executive decision alert - one big final (whether it's XXVI or XXVII) will have 15 votes, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,15,18. This voting layout will provide the fewest distortions compared with the 10 vote system, as it has the separation for the top three. If you find it hard to remember, just submit a top 15.

AMAZING. Can't wait for that contest! Much more exciting now i am, too bad i had to DNQ 6 times (and possibly 7th) before this moment though.

Fantastic! Sounds so simple laid out like that, will be nice to only have to vote once I think, and not have the feeling of guilt that songs I voted for in the semi missed out in the final etc...really pleased we get to vote for 15 songs too :D

Same here :dance: it will be great for everyone to be in the final I think, much more of a positive atmosphere! I'm really looking forward to having the opportunity to vote for 15 songs too :D I love that everyone has to listen to every song too!

I'm not looking forward to the voting stage, it starts in the week of death. This whole contest classes very messily with my exam timetable.

The biggest gap, well pretty much the only gap i have is between the 12th and the 18th so it'll be mass listen/vote then.

 

Regardless of what was happening with the contest structure i was always going to have difficulties with this contest.

 

So good that i won't be having exams at the time of Eurovision like in the last 3 years, i will also be done with exams this year on this thursday! :w00t: But then 3 month work experience though :nocheer:

Stoffer & Maskinen on tour!

 

Stoffer & Maskinen are doing the tour to promote their bjsc::tjugoseks entry, 'Vi To Er Smeltet Sammen'. Tomorrow the first concert will be held in Numayania! The duration of the tour will be 2 weeks and the band will visit 15 countries. Also, the single is about to be released BJworldwide in 2 weeks, with the exception of some countries like Ojnoj (the single will be released next week as a download-only because of the 'non-foreign languages' policy regarding the physical singles market).

Listen to the 2-weeks Elëdanese chart topper that has already sold twice as much as the previous top sales holder of 2010, Kuunkuiskaajat 'Työlki Ellää', the Finnish ESC entry this year.

 

 

The band also is going to play their previous singles 'Flader Mod Flader' and 'De Eneste Tilbage' on their tour, plus some new stuff. The album is to be released in Elëdan on April 19th.

 

 

Kopečka have announced their entry for bjsc_twentysix// as Girlicious - Maniac. Love it.
