Have you heard her new album? It's seriously a Scandi-pop opus :wub: I never thought somebody so non-descript (well that's how I'd thought of her before now at least) could come out with such a classic!

No I haven't the whole album but I did heard couple of hyped tracks, Funeral and Toy Boy.

Nobody's gonna send Katy, chillax (lol funny word)! It's kind of a not written rule already - to not send such songs, like Peter said (I don't know if it's right though hence referring there ;o), you don't choose the last performing slot on ESC if you happen to have a wildcard :kink:

I'm probably going down the generic Swedish pop route this time. The two current heats in my selection are both being led by Swedish pop. If one Swedish pop act wins, everyone copies to try and win :kink:

I would say the same, but i think i'll give the one big final format ONE more chance. If I don't adjust after 2 contests, then i will leave as i'm not gonna participate in a contest that i don't enjoy. :P

 

Also, i would like to add that despite me meaning basicially nothing to the contest, it would be a great blow if James left as he has been in every contest since i started and you really need to keep hold to these DEDICATED people for as long as possible by pleasing as much people as possible...

 

52% majority after trying something out is NOT pleasing as much people as possible...if the semis continue, has anyone left before? Not on the scale as what could happen in the next couple of contests...

All people that voted for the new system are not going to quit if the semis get back because they'd rather see the advantages of BOTH systems than start throwing toys out of the pram, plus most has already experienced what's it like being in semis... So using that arguement to prove the point that getting semis back is what the majority wants/will cause less people quitting isn't quite fair. It doesn't mean these people (including myself) are satisfied with the old format getting back. Personally in about 10 contests i see myself becoming Fervorosia, i.e. confirming a song and getting a break from every discussion until next confirmation, if semis return...

It was dragged out too long, I didnt enjoy listening to all 48 songs in bulk, I prefer it broken up and by the time I get to the end I've forgotten the beginning to compare. Not accusing you of throwing your toys out of the pram, but on your criticisms: we've said that if it goes through that the voting period will probably be shortened, and Aaron has already pointed out that a recap is pretty imperative when it comes to this - it didn't help that this time nobody did one, so yeah, in the future that will probably be rectified.

Off topic but seeing all your lovely badges/awards every time you post Tyron reminds me that my BJSC badge needs updating :kink:

What compromise do you intend in this situation? How about we bring back the semis to please people but then only turf out 3 songs a la BJSCV, I mean I'm hosting so I should get the chance to do this again, right? :kink:

I wouldn't mind anything else at all, but I tend to finish 2nd in all of these awards/polls etc...which is great of course but I always get beaten by you :smoke: Good luck with that, 4 will do me for now, keeps me clear of you for at least another 3 contests, assuming that you win every one of them, which is probably unlikely :kink:
