Just checking the latest chart - the top 8 are *all* urban, and 14 of the top 17 (15 of 18 if Ke$ha counts - though I don't count her).

Please - let's have some dance, pop, rock, hell - even MOR - in fact *anything* other than this constant urban diet.

I'm not just saying that because of my personal musical preferences, though - the UK music scene has always relied on variety in order to thrive. Without that, you'll risk losing a significant sector of the market.

I wasn't expecting I Dreamed a Dream (now at #38) ahead of Bad Romance (#40). :o

The Bad Romance episode hasn't been shown yet though. If it charts this week, it will surely climb next week, which will be something new for a Glee song :kink:

Damn UK Public. Vile #1. The worst #1 this year [even more so than Haiti].

Cant believe bad romance is at #40 already on name alone :D It is a great song!

I Dreamed A Dream #38, i'd expect in the 30s next week officially.

I was quite surprised that this week's Glee tracks weren't as high as usual but there are multiple versions of them due to the album being released this week.

Two versions of IDAD in the top 100 make it a lot higher I think so your top 30 prediction is kinda spot on ^_^

I think some people need to read up a little bit about what urban music actually is:

I think all of the top 10, except Stereo Love are urban songs. However, only about half of them are R&B. A few of the top 10 are pop songs. There's a dance song or two in the top 10 also. There's even 2 ska songs in the top 10.

I find this I Like song as limp as Rihanna's rude boy.

Eminem #6, should 100% secure top 10 officially.

Alicia #13 back up from slipping to #17 earlier..

Rihanna #15, needs video!

I dreamed a dream glee up to #26. Think it'll make mid 30s officially.

Bad romance glee up to #36 already without having been performed (+poker face #49)

Buble havent met you yet #34, hoping it can hold on to make top 40 on sunday, might not though due to album selling really well. :)

Even the US iTunes chart has more non-urban songs in their top ten this week than the UK. :o And the US chart is always, always sh*te.

Wasnt expecting Eminem to do that well- I have yet to hear the song, although he can sell just on name

Big fall for Roll Deep, that makes the whole top 7 urban

Pendulum update:

Watercolour #33 and #65 (maybe just top 20 combined)

Witchcraft #52 (Next single, epic!) :o

Witchcraft up to #50 :o

Having listened to it, I get why it's the second single, as it's basically Watercolour part 2. It's the best choice for a single but not the best song on the album (that would be Immunize).

Having said that, it's still really good, but I hope Immunize is the third single  Immunize

Dizzee has a pretty good lead now :D

Eminem up to #6 :o

Yeah, wasn't it at #1, about 10 days ago (the Sunday before last) when B.o.B. came along.

I know what *I* believe urban to be, and that's the only definition I use.

On a totally separate, though still on-topic matter : are iTunes music downloads still incompatible with other MP3 players?

Having heard both the N-Dubz and the Eminem songs- their both very good, and deserve top 10 ^_^
