June 1, 201015 yr What were did Justin Bieber's Somebody To Love come from???? Ugh B.o.B. :o Shocked how low he is.
June 1, 201015 yr Looking hopeful then that Alicia will break the top 10 after her performance on BGT tonight :)
June 1, 201015 yr I'm glad that cheap travesty - Miley Cyrus - isn't going to have a hit in the UK. She was only added yesterday and is performing on Britain's Got Talent tomorrow.
June 1, 201015 yr Author There is only 2 new entries inside the top 40, as the combined effort of David Guetta, Rihanna sneaks back with Rude Boy, and the awful track by Justin Bieber. Hopefully we should see Madcon, Lena and two tracks from Glee later in the week, Miley Cyrus is questionable :kink: apart from that its a dead week. The only thing I hate about this week's chart, is having an act returning back to #1 in the singles chart, I hate it when acts return to the top spot its the second time this year after Bad Romance.
June 1, 201015 yr Bieber's STL will fall out by Sunday, no idea how it's even there. By Sunday we should see at the very minimum Lena, B.o.B and Miley - the Glee GaGa songs seem to be underperforming but at least one will get in I'm sure. It's a deader week than it has been recently, but it should be noted a lot of these track weren't available until Monday (and in the case of Glee, only got their boost on Monday). They'll catch up. June 1, 201015 yr The only thing I hate about this week's chart, is having an act returning back to #1 in the singles chart, I hate it when acts return to the top spot its the second time this year after Bad Romance. I would agree but this is how the UK charts have gone in the last 12 months. 'Boom Boom Pow', 'I Gotta Feeling', 'Bad Romance' and 'Nothin' On You' all topping the chart then reclimbing back again. I prefer genuine popular songs to get to no. 1 and stay there. Therefore tracks like 'Never Leave You', 'The Climb', 'Killing In The Name' and 'Dirtee Disco', imo, should have been #2 hits instead. I'd include 'Bonkers' too but at least that track managed two weeks of no. 1 rather than being a one week wonder.
June 1, 201015 yr I think the mids will look very different 2moro. The bank holiday slowdown init. Yeah I agree. The midweeks will definitely change. Perhaps there could even be some sales data missing? Well, it wouldn't be the first time Music Week have posted midweeks on a Tuesday and not included all sales. :kink: The Glee Tracks are bound to climb. I think Iyaz will slip down and N-Dubz will overtake. Plus, they've not even corrected that David Guetta appears at both no. 18 and no. 20 so there's a mistake straight away.
June 1, 201015 yr Wow so surprised to see B.o.B album so low.. Hopefully sales pick up after Airplanes & Somebody to love in top 40 ? Haven't really noticed where it is on itunes

I remember a year ago this week when it happened with Boom Boom Pow and I think liked it back then :) Bieber's STL will fall out by Sunday, no idea how it's even there. I don't expect to see any Glee songs too high as they are already on a released album, ot was bound to hurt their peaks.
June 1, 201015 yr Wow so surprised to see B.o.B album so low.. Hopefully sales pick up after Airplanes & Somebody to love in top 40 ? Haven't really noticed where it is on itunes STL is at #190 and #195 on iTunes, and both versions are falling, absolutely no idea how it's top 40 and it will definitely fall out by Sunday. Or at least I seriously hope it does.

Yeah, but I think Never Leave You was a fantastic song, and I'm so glad it got #1!! :D But yes, Bad Romance would've really got 4 weeks at #1, is there wasn't a chart battle in the middle of it all. And some songs just seem so durable, like Meet Me Halfway got to #1 on iTunes twice (with Whatcha Say in the middle), and I seem to remember that some weeks later, Meet Me Halfway was at #10, about to fall out of the top 10, and then it randomly shot back up to #2 on iTunes, and got #3 officially (I think). Yet some songs get #1, and they're out of the charts 10 weeks later. And I'm shocked by Justin Bieber aswell. It reminds me of when that Jay-Z song, which nobody had heard of charted top 40 a while ago. Edited June 1, 201015 yr by Eric_Blob
June 1, 201015 yr and I seem to remember that some weeks later, Meet Me Halfway was at #10, about to fall out of the top 10, and then it randomly shot back up to #2 on iTunes, and got #3 officially (I think). Yet some songs get #1, and they're out of the charts 10 weeks later. Meet Me Halfway was one of the major songs to benefit from the 'iTunes gift card effect' which causes old songs to shoot back up at the start of the year, causing it to climb 10-6-3. The boost didn't last long though, as it fell back to #10 the next week. Ke$ha's TiK ToK also peaked after the gift card effect, in what was a very strange run - it débuted at #6, and stuck there the next week. After that, it fell to #7 where it stayed for 3 weeks. It then finally reached a new peak of #5, then dropped out of the top 10 completely, to #11. The next week it was back in at #10, then shot up to another new peak of #4 thanks to gift cards. After falling 4-8-12, it began to go down at a constant pace of 2 places per week (-14-16-18) for 3 weeks. A bit later it also went 38-38-41-38. Its full chart run to date: 6-6-7-7-7-5-11-10-4-8-12-14-16-18-23-29-31-36-38-38-41-38-41-51-53-62-62-75-79-76- Edited June 1, 201015 yr by Bray
June 1, 201015 yr Cyrus should at least go top 20, same for Lena. Bieber must be selling well on Amazon etc. as he's so low on Itunes, it had better fall :puke: So surprised at B.o.B., it did the same in Australia tho. Saying that, the album is mostly filler, NOY and Airplanes are the only amazing tracks on there Edited June 1, 201015 yr by Gagafan Gleek
