To be honest the Groups impressed me more than the girls, especially the girl band (Belle Ami) I think there is chemistry between them. I'm hoping people will get tired of Cher, she is beginning to be the hot favourite to win it this year, but for some reason I don't see it. I'll be really surprised if the girl band can pull it of. FYD are great they can harmonize, One Direction will just become Westlife mark II with Louis bumming them, I just hope Simon picks the Reason over One Direction. I think Simon has got the best category this year.

 

I must admit Rebecca and Gamu really stand above the rest of the girls for me, Katie and Cher they don't do it for me, but I know Cheryl will give Cher a lot of encouragement she doesn't seem to care for the other acts in her group, apart from Rebecca.

Cher isn't "the hot favourite" according to the bookies. Apparently the hot fave is Matt. Not sure where Cher is. But surely top 3? :unsure:

I think she's got enough to justify being in the finals (if she is). But really ... that is as far as she should go ... she's good ... but not that good.

 

The only one in this competition for me (from the girls) is Rebecca ... and she is way, way, way, way better than any of them. My ideal final two for the competition would be Rebecca V Matt.

The girls were by far the strongest category - Rebecca should be a cert I'd hope, otherwise Cherly needs her head testing. Sadly I suspect Cher and Katie are going to be given free passes through, although I think based on tonight, TreyC was far more deserving.

 

The groups were stronger than first thought - the bands that were put together are obviously going to go through though, which I don't really like myself. I'd like the group made up of geeks (I forget their name!) to go through, but I suspect The Reason or Belle Ami will instead.

 

The boys are for the most part a bit same old, same old, bar the painter guy who I really hope makes it. Aiden will go through, but I'm really not liking him. There's something arrogant and quite unpleasant about him...

 

I LOVE the oldies - by far the most interesting category and I'd love to see ALL of them go through rather than some of the blander boys and groups. Sadly only 3 of them are really viable contestants - Mary, Storm and John.

 

 

 

 

OH and Sinitta is a GODDESS. I also love Natalie Imbruglia, but I do wish she'd actually shown a personality throughout these shows. And tonight reminded me how much I have missed Sharon Osbourne, even if she is rather vile.

My one problem with Gamu is she seams to think she is alot better than she actualy is (Same for Pixxie Lott the 2nd) I think the clip of cheryl saying "i think she thought she got through" was about Gamu (or Anastasia actualy)

The girls were AWFUL. Usually they are the strongest category, and going into tonight I thought they would be, but Cher, Keri, Anastacia and Katie were dreadful. TreyC was dull as usual, and Gamu and Rebecca were the only saving graces.

 

Groups were easily the strongest I thought. Belle Amie have something really special. Like Sinitta said, fi they can produce a performance like that after being together for three weeks then think hwo amazing they could be should they get to the lives. The boys who were made up were ace too, though I suspect Buzzjack will hate them. Liked FYD too, and Diva Fever.

 

The overs were just LOL and the boys were good. I really really like Aiden, his version of Cannonball was love.

I thought Gamu was a disappointment tonight :( I loved her beforehand but I dunno ... maybe 'Cry Me Out' wasn't the best song for her. I thought Keri was amazing tbh, really soulful voice. I LOVE Elesha as well even if she is going to get absolutely nowhere :(.

 

I think the only act I genuinely like who will be in the finals this year is Rebecca. Katie and Cher will get right on my tits. I'll support Mary too probably because she has an amazing personality and is rly relatable <3.

Rebecca is pretty amazing. Why is she not one of the top favourites? Her voice is fantastic! That said, there are some strong contestants this year imo and I can imagine buying music by 6 or 7 of these acts, which could not be said about last year's lineup at all, I only really liked Joe.

According to the spoilers 9/12 of those go through, so not too bad

 

 

& the Daily Star have said that on the first live show each judge will pick one more contestant from their category to go through that hasn't already. Not sure how true it is, but I really hope it is and that the judges make the right decisions

 

 

I'd pick Marlon from the boys, TreyC from the Girls, The Reason from the Groups and Elesha from the Over 28s

 

 

Gosh that Katie is rather vile :/ She reminds me of some deformed hybrid love child of Pixie Lott and Diana Vickers. I thought she was very refreshing and exciting at her first audition but she's just extremely fake, the more I see of her. The stupid eyelashes and trying too hard to be like like Madonna/Lady Gaga whilst bigging herself up to forget the words - AGAIN. If she does get through I will be very disappointed.

 

Also Anastasia is it? Possible rejection twice by Cheryl? Eeeek.

 

I loved the put together girl group but the boy band are just a pack of pretty boys that remind me of Westlife.

 

I still want Nicolo to go through because I think we need more interesting people. Matt and Rebecca must be dead certs too. and Mary just continues to grow in my affections with her honest, upfront personality and not breaking down or stopping like an idiot when she forgets the words. I rarely agree with Craig's extreme opinions but the entire Cher thing was so manipulated. I'm sick of seeing her nasty little face already.
