Cher will go thru, she is Cheryl's top licker no matter how bad she was yesterday. The only think about Cher can she adapt on a disco week, or a rock week. I think she is a one trick pony, hopefully people will get tired of her. I just hope a judge will see sense along the way, and dump her, most likely it be Louie as his acts are going to drop like flies.

 

And there is a 2 page article on Katie Weasel in News Of The World, that she can be a drama queen when she wants to.

 

I just feel gutted if Keri or some other act that actually sang better than Katie and Cher get weasel out because of them. (pardon the pun)

 

Ideally my top 3 girls would be Rebecca, Keri and Treyc/Gamu

I think she's got enough to justify being in the finals (if she is). But really ... that is as far as she should go ... she's good ... but not that good.

 

The only one in this competition for me (from the girls) is Rebecca ... and she is way, way, way, way better than any of them. My ideal final two for the competition would be Rebecca V Matt.

Yes, Katie is an actress and a very average singer. I don't mind someone fluffing their lines once but when it gets to the third or fourth time you seriously have to question that person's ability.

 

I'm really disappointed with Cher now. Her first audition was so flawless with her Katie Melua-esque vocals but singing something edgey seemed quite interesting. Sadly her rendition of 'Viva La Vida' was horrendous (it's not a rap song so don't turn it into one) and now 'Cooler Than Me' even though she wasn't well, it was still below average.

 

I want Rebecca to grow in confidence. Her vocals are goosebump worthy, but her nerves do get the better of her. I want her to do well but when she's nervous she ends up singing off key and thus I find that really uncomfortable listening to. Also someone so nervous they're vocals are shaky. Just can't listen to singers like that. ** shudders **

 

Close your eyes and think of Aretha Franklin and you're pretty much there. Amazing singer and definitely one of, if not now the best, in the girls category. I actually missed this performance last night. Bliss. ^_^

As for the other categories, they're all far weaker! I just hope the newly-formed girl group goes through.

. It was clear last night when she said

Katie is a love/hate figure ... from Cheryl's own remarks about her ... she is one of those that hate her ... I believe she called her a drama queen ... and her assistant William wasn't impressed either

Just don't be so quick to blame Cheryl for her choice .... I firmly believe that she has no more choice in the matter than Danni or Louis do ... they've got clear instructions from Simon on who to select.

That is if Simon allows any 'sing off' to go to the public vote. As he's previously said 'I love this girl'. I think even if she was in a sing-off against one of his own acts ... he'll have a plan in place that she goes through. It doesn't matter which mentor's act wins ... because they're all winners for Simon - he chose them all to begin with.

I don't think it's necessarily as cynical as that - I think it just comes down to that Cheryl (and all the judges) seem to be making a concerted effort to avoid the nice-but-bland this year, which really plagued last year's contest. It would explain the higher ratio of nutters who made it to the Judges House stage.

Katie may not necessarily be a better singer than the likes of TreyC or Annastacia or whoever, but she's certainly memorable.

But in all fairness ... she shouldn't even be there. The X-Factor lawyers got her out of a recording contract that she already had ... in order for her to stay in the contest. Have they put as much effort into helping other contestants? Jesus ... Simon wouldn't even let that guy from Hull in the final auditions sing a second song. The more I see of this scheming, lying, little 'big-chinned' cheat ... the more I feel intensely sorry for that Chloe girl who was used mercilessly by the producers of this drama series which masquerades as a talent show.

 

And another thing ... Katie Weasel's grandmother probably has nothing left to wear as the little 'style-free' minx has raided her wardrobe!

Regarding Rebecca, I don't know about anyone else, but watching her last night singing in front of Cheryl, I had visions of Alexandra! She won't be the favourite with the bookies until about the quarter finals. (Providing she is through of course). She's bloody brilliant though. Really love her.

I agree. Their comments [whilst being the usual stereotypical $h!t] seem to be a lot more geared to personality this year. 'She's rather dull', 'will people pick up the phone and vote for him?', 'he doesn't have anything going for him outside of his voice' etc. It's not right imo but of course this show is never fair and is all based on manipulation. They obviously want as many nut-jobs/idiots or people who will divide public opinion to go through to the final as possible - at the expense of the remaining contestants that actually have a grain of talent.

 

I don't think the girls are that strong if the rumoured 3 are true. I can't see Cher being able to adapt to the different themed weeks. She's already attempted to give the exact same type of performance three times and that Katie creature is just an abomination. I honestly think one of the boys or groups are going to win this year. Mary may be a dark horse but previous experience concerning the older singers says that won't happen - but I have a feeling the public would hate Storm as well :lol:

Theres something about her voice that just screams The New Billie Holiday at me, I think its that gorgeous lazy tone she has. Rebecca is by far my favourite in the competition atm. Keri comes second, shame she wont go through :(
