They actually playlisted 'I Got You' and that excuse you gave is flimsy, and clutching at straws and you can't back that up...

That's not my excuse, that's Radio 1's excuse. That's not my opinion, that's Radio 1's opinion. All I'm saying are the facts. There's no point in arguing with that. :P

Well if it's such a cast iron fact, prove it instead of simply just saying it.

Do you not remember the thread around the time IGY was released that someone mentioned how they'd emailed Radio 1 about IGY and they explicitly stated they weren't supporting it very much because of how badly Happy went down with their audience? :P

I'd look it up but I'm a bit busy ATM.

EDIT: Or perhaps I'm just imagining it? I swear I remember them saying that about it. If they never did I look a bit foolish D:

But yeah, the Radio 1 playlist doesn't deserve all the criticism it gets IMO.

Wasn't it because 'I Got You' wasn't getting a positive reaction from feedback of their audience and stuff? Not because of how 'Happy' was perceived? (I could be completely wrong )

To whoever said Paramore don't appeal to 16-25s, what a pile of utter crap. That is by far their largest audience, it's just a shame that the excellent "Careful" has been given a cheapo video so it could flop.

Also kind of pleased that 30STM are there even though I didn't doubt for a second they would be, it's a decent single choice but would only have been 4th on my preferences from the album:

01 Night of the Hunter

02 Hurricane

03 Vox Populi

04 Closer to the Edge

Still, if it goes top 40 it just proves what a transformation they've made. I suppose a very small part of the R1 audience was actually aware of them before "Kings & Queens" so playlisting them gives them a huge new audience - "This Is War" nearly made the top 40 despite having no video!
