Awww, K'naan missed his only chance :(

Meh, Shout's still great :D

I don't know, "All The Lovers" is perfectly innoffensive but it doesn't deviate enough from her typical sound for me.

Its nothing like 2hearts for a start. And not as in your face pop like Wow. Its a mid tempo pop track. Kylie is pop.

Not many artists do deviate form their "sound" Kylie has done it a few times, but on the whole not many artists do deviate because they fit in a certain genre.

Dizzee Rascal and James Corden have recorded an unofficial World Cup song 'Shout'. And all England fans are being called to join them on the record by adding their own vocals to the new footie anthem.

The song is an infectious reworking of 80's Tears for Fears classic 'Shout' led by the inimitable rap of Dizzee Rascal. The collaboration was masterminded by Simon Cowell along with Dizzee, Nick Cage, James and TalkTalk to unite England for its team. Dizzee and James are donating all of their royalties from sales of the track to Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Dizzee and James recorded their vocals last week and now it is the turn of the rest of England's loyal supporters. - HMV

Whats up with your general hate towards Kylie. Really any need to mention her in most of your posts related to the chart

Oh poor K'naan, his song is so much better than that Dizzee $h!t.

:(

Oh well, at least K'naan is currently no. 1 in some European countries. I'll be more gutted if the sales between #1 and #2 are a lot closer than I'd imagine (purely because K'naan was ahead by some distance during the later stages of the week).

If England play as badly on Weds as they did on Friday then the Shout will probably have a chart run of

1-1-Out

 I hope we don't lose. :P

I can take criticism of Kylie, but I do agree it seemed like that comment was put there to try and antagonise the Kylie fans a bit...

This is why one function is essential. ^_^

Do 30 seconds from mars deviate from their sound? she's been around all these years for a reason.

I for one am happy Kylie got top 5! Some artists/bands would DREAM of having success like she is having 20 years into her career.

Currently the shortest UK #1 chart run is:

20/02/2010 Helping Haiti Everybody Hurts 1 {1}-1-9-26-42->5

As already posted, if England lose or draw to Slevenia on Wednesday, therefore not qualifying for the final 16, 'Shout' could end up with an even shorter chart run than what Helping Haiti has.
