Posted June 21, 201015 yr http://static.nme.com/images/gallery/kingoflimbs.jpg Radiohead are releasing their new album 'The King Of Limbs' on Saturday (February 19). The band announced the news on their official website, Radiohead.com, this morning (February 14). It is available to order online at Thekingoflimbs.com. The record will be available as a download from Saturday, then released physically on May 9 as what the band are billing as a 'newspaper album'. The 'newspaper album' package will contain 'The King Of Limbs' on CD, two 10-inch vinyl records and artwork sheets. Those who buy the set will also receive the album as a download on Saturday. The album will be the band's first since 2007's 'In Rainbows', which they released as a pay-what-you-like download. The name of the new album relates to an oak tree in Wiltshire's Savernake Forest, thought to be around 1,000 years old. The forest lies around three miles away from Tottenham House, a listed country house where Radiohead recorded part of 'In Rainbows'. The tree is a pollarded oak, referring to an ancient technique for harvesting timber for fencing and firewood. The phrase also appears in the 23rd chapter of the Qu'ran. June 22, 201015 yr Can't wait for this. In contrast to Tony I loved 'In Rainbows', so I'm hoping this won't disappoint.
June 22, 201015 yr In Rainbows was good imo as well! I pretty much can't wait for this too! :o Too long to wait though :(

February 14, 201114 yr Hope there are at least three good songs this time. I used to be a big fan of them but the decline in quality from Kid A (amazing) first to Amnesiac (half good) and then to Hail to the Thief (crap) really was a turn off for me. BUT The Eraser was pretty good. Edited February 14, 201114 yr by SKOB
February 14, 201114 yr I've already ordered the newspaper package. In Rainbows was a solid album, although I doubt they'll ever come close to matching The Bends in my opinion.
February 14, 201114 yr In Rainbows was so dull to me. Every song was second rate at best. I didn't like 1 track from the whole thing.
February 14, 201114 yr Exciting news. I actually like In Rainbows a lot, it's one of my favourite albums by them. Reckoner and Videotape are beautiful, 15 Step is really cool, Jigsaw Falling Into Place has something really enjoyable about it and House of Cards is very pretty too. I like all the songs, maybe Bodysnatchers the least, if I had to choose one.
February 15, 201114 yr Hurray Loved 'In Rainbows' Just preordered the newspaper edition. MP3 available this Saturday - fantastic
February 15, 201114 yr Can't wait for this! I loved In Rainbows too. Some great tracks. The album I find really difficult to get into is Hail to the Thief. Everytime I listen to it I get really bogged down during the second half of the album.
February 15, 201114 yr http://www.viceland.com/blogs/en/2011/02/1...e-first-review/ Creep II? "Another classic: one that marries the taut electronica of Pablo Honey with the anthemic Britpop belters of Kid A and the complex prog of The Bends." Something wrong with that sentence?
