February 19, 201114 yr Stupid question, but if I buy it from the website, can it show on my itunes? How much is it btw?
February 19, 201114 yr Codex is nice but I'm starting to think I am not a Radiohead fan as I dont seem to like as much of their stuff as I used to. I mean, I thought Amnesiac and HTTT had great stuff on them - I didn't really get Kid A, apart from the fantastic closing song. It's funny coz Kid A is my second favourite album ever what with Idioteque, Optimistic and The National Anthem. The whole thing is a joy from start to finish. Back to TKOL and it could well be my 3rd fav Radiohead album after Kid A and Ok Computer. I'm getting the same feeling I got when I first heard Kid A.

Me too in a way... that's why I'm reluctant to write it off yet as it took me about six months before I fully loved Kid A and it's now my favourite of theirs by some distance (in fact, it's often my favourite album ever).
February 23, 201114 yr I wrote this article for my college newspaper, inspired by comments made by SKOB in this post. They did cut out a lot of the positives from the original article to get it down to size, so it's slightly more 'rant-y' than I'd originally made it out to be. February 24, 201114 yr I really, really love this album. So simple. So fresh. Morning Mr. Magpie GODDAMN. And Codex. mm. Reminds me a lot of Flying Lotus.

And I truly believe it's mostly because of their way of releasing them. And also that they have such a great back catalogue. "How can a band who released OK and Kid A do wrong...This must be amazing" People are making themselves to believe that it is...when it's really not. And at the same time they refuse to properly listen and really focus on better albums. Because the new Radiohead is available. It's a pretty good album though (I'm just mad that Radiohead sell $h!tloads of records when truly outstanding efforts by Caribou etc are destined to stay relatively unknown :P )
February 24, 201114 yr I agree with SKOB but the same happens with Lady Gaga except it's not indie kids or critics that are looning. It's the obsessed fans. It's always going to happen that established acts take focus away from better music.
February 24, 201114 yr Lotus Flower is beautiful but I'm holding off on the album...... what saddens me is Radiohead seem to be suffering from the 'R.E.M. disease' - whereby each album cover design is uglier than the last - the artwork for King of Limbs is ghastly..... :(

It's always going to happen that established acts take focus away from better music. That's true. But would Arcade Fire be regarded as brilliant as they are now if they released two or three mediocre albums next with normal release policy? I don't think so. The essential thing in Radiohead looning is that the band delivers the music online their own way which gives orgasms to all the indie nerds. An interesting phenomenon. And this website is amazing: http://radioheadthekingoflimbs.com/thom-yorke-dance-guide/

February 26, 201114 yr Wow - Codex is really very good and the best thing they've done since Backdrifts. I'm enjoy this album much more than In Rainbows. Which I must go back to sometime soon. Morning Mr Magpie is kinda funky which I like.
February 26, 201114 yr Codex and Lotus Flower are very good but the album lacks real standouts. So good that they kept it in 8 tracks
