That shocked me to the core but oh well life moves on.

It is a new record. The biggest drop for a number one single (excluding limited editions) is McFly's fall to number 20 with Baby's Coming Back / Transylvania. There's a separate thread listing the largest falls for an album.

She didnt do well at all this year.

her single Not myself tonight was a flop

Also, didn't her album have the or one of the lowest sales for a first week of an album? I'm not sure it was the lowest, but it has to be up there!
Xtina is gone - like JLo.

Bionic was the 2nd lowest I think?

Still when the lead single is appalling and you take so long between records what do you expect? They're probably not the sole factor into it's massive drop but they probably contributed.

I suppose Father's Day also had an influence as it fell like 18 places from its midweek position but it's sales would've kept it top 20 on an average week. Still pretty dreadful though...

I think it was the lowest ever, if I remember correctly.

Oh. I thought it was The Doves. *hunts out the MW report* :kink:

Second lowest for a while. Not sure if it's second lowest ever

Introductory single Not Myself Tonight didn’t distinguish itself, falling short of the Top 10 but Christina Aguilera has the second number one album of her career with Bionic debuting at the summit on sales of 24,301 copies.

That’s the lowest tally for a number one album since The Last Broadcast by The Doves topped the list on sales of 22,437 in May 2002.

(Music Week)

Her number one was so cheap on the sales she got, what was it? 24k? For a new album thats really poor, especially as oasis managed 102k last week.

But what a flop, i'm really dissappointed.

She didnt do well at all this year.

I woundn't call these positions flops

Only disappointing

Ouch, dont know if its been said but its also the lowest ever sales for a #1.

Uh ohhh

No those positions are flop and disappointing.

She didn't make top 10 anywhere, she was close to top 10 in Canada #11, but after that she falls down.

That is flop, for big artist like Christina.

It wouldnt be classed as a flop if it had of been the 2nd or 3rd single from Bionic but as its only the 1st single and didnt manage to have much impact in the Chart i would call it a flop.

Her New single Woohoo has to do well if she wants to sav e herself in this era

Edited by AV102

Bray reliably informed me that three albums have fallen out of the chart from #1, Now! 13 (Deleted due to the new compilation chart, I believe), a budget album of covers and some other soundtrack album.

She's not releasing "Woohoo" next, she's releasing "You Lost Me".
