June 28, 201015 yr Author Owl City is so close, just 5600 short, another fortnight and it should pass HH That depends on how many HH has actually been trickle-selling - It's been out of the iT T1000 for quite a while, so I've only been giving it a token 100/wk.
June 28, 201015 yr Author Hopefully Kylie can climb fast over the next few weeks. Thanks for the info I estimate she'll need to sell ~32k (or slightly less) this week to reach the YTD T75 next Sunday.
June 28, 201015 yr I estimate she'll need to sell ~32k (or slightly less) this week to reach the YTD T75 next Sunday. She should manage that easily I think. It'll be interesting to see how ATL holds up in the coming weeks though. She has the physical and the album's release to keep it in the upper reaches for at least another fortnight but after that we'll have to see if it remains consistant or bombs like Diana Vickers. And as for your dilemma with HH's trickle sales. I personally doubt it'll have added much more to it's tally. I guess it won't be evident for certain until Music Week publish the YTDs with Owl City at #1
June 28, 201015 yr I can see Usher being #1 end of year, or else Katy. Fireflies isn't going to last another three weeks in the top 100.
June 28, 201015 yr looks like omg will overtake fireflies then :( and to think it was falling before stupid bgt
June 28, 201015 yr OMG is so $h!te - how can it be doing this well? It's autotuned, chanty, sounds like A BEP cast off and that is such an incomprehensibly bad concept. That said it's not worse than IGF which is fast approaching my Worst 10 singles of all time. Edited June 28, 201015 yr by toneski
June 29, 201015 yr Does anyone have a rough estimate for sales of Noisettes' Never Forget You? I know it sold about 150,000 copies last year and it hung around the bottom of the charts for a while earlier this year. I was just curious as to how close it was to the 200k mark, given that it only peaked at number 20 I think...

June 29, 201015 yr I think OMG might've got #1 YTD without BGT anyway, although it would've done so slightly slower. Not to mention, without BGT, a lot of Buzzjack friendly songs wouldn't have done so well, so there's no point complaining. There's no way it'll be #1 at the end of the year though. Sure, it's a good song, and obviously very popular, but there's inevitably going to be some huge songs around X Factor season, like Meet Me Halfway, Fight For This Love, Bad Boys, The Climb, etc. There's going to be something which will beat OMG. Heck, even Katy Perry might.

July 1, 201015 yr That would be deeply depressing if Usher has the biggest selling single of the year with OMG.I am a big Usher fan but it is his worse song ever.Plus it is not fair that he is kicking off against Jay Sean and Taio at bringing down the value of RnB when he is doing that himself plus recording with Justine is virtually criminal.
July 1, 201015 yr Usher sucks. End of. Let's hope Katy Perry or some other huge hit kicks up a storm and wipes the floor with him. It's already sold half a million too many...
