June 29, 201015 yr Was there any need to rude Ruthie? Be the bigger person and let it go :) I think in the long run Aphrodite will be a massive seller for Kylie, maybe 2-3 million? Keep dreaming I say. As much as I'd love that, Fever did 1.7 million and her previous studio albums did 400,000 and 460,000. I'd be over the moon with half a million.
June 29, 201015 yr Was there any need to rude Ruthie? YES lol xxx and anyway ive seen him take plenty of digs at kylie so its all good. not like i was nasty about it aslong as it outsells X then ill be very happy :D
June 29, 201015 yr Id love aphrodite to go double platnum+ if it manages that in the UK i would be thrilled, as we never get sales information here in Ireland im hoping she can go top 10 with the album as her last 2 studio albums have missed the top 10 here.
June 29, 201015 yr Cough Eminem Cough :P 130k plus for Recovery, not to be sniffed at. Eminem is a much bigger star than Kylie, though.
June 30, 201015 yr Author Eminem is a much bigger star than Kylie, though. You may well just have opened up a huge can of worms with that opinion!
June 30, 201015 yr Author Eminem is a much bigger star than Kylie, though. Worldwide perhaps, given that Kylie has never been that big in America - but in UK terms she is far more popular than Eminem could ever be!
June 30, 201015 yr Worldwide perhaps, given that Kylie has never been that big in America - but in UK terms she is far more popular than Eminem could ever be! Don't most of Eminem's albums sell 100k+ on their opening week? I'd like to introduce you to my friend X who only managed 82k in it's first week. Aphrodite, granted is being released after a more popular lead single...but the albums market has declined a great deal since then. Hence my reasoning of 53k. If 2 Hearts was lead sungle for this album (or a song of similar appeal) i would say 40k(ish) tbh. For the record, I actually prefer 2 Hearts to All The Lovers. I'm just talking about overall reception of the songs. :P

Kylie has a warm friendly personality, whereas Ememin often sounds like he needs to be force-fed valium. :)
June 30, 201015 yr LOL only 82k... you make that sound like it isn't a lot. I think 82k in an opening week is big, I was shocked.
June 30, 201015 yr Author BTW, has anyone tried analysing the various polls here, to see how close the predicted positions were to the real peak?
June 30, 201015 yr Voted 80-99k can't see it selling over 100k even with a brilliant lead single which is also doing well on physicals. As per usual, we'll probably see Kylie tracks being cherry picked hence affecting the albums overall sales in its opening week.
