So The Wanted haven't actually been deleted afterall? People should be sure before they say that.

When you try to buy 'The Wanted' single on iTunes it states "The item you tried to buy is no longer available, The availability of the item has changed. The same item may be available with a different price or elsewhere on the store" :huh:

You mean they mistook one boybands single for another? Admittedly that's an easy mistake to make... :P

 

Seriously though, it does seem an odd time to release it - the promo has barely started, and many people who might buy it, won't even realise it's out yet.

It won't, because iTunes has been known to properly remove tracks from the the Top 100 when it wants to.

 

It may do so at some point today.

We we now know The Wanted are going to Number 1, #30 in just an hour after accidently made available.

If it's a 2 track single, then yes, the spike will be because of pre-orders, as the sales get dumped into the track sales.

 

If it's an EP (3 or more tracks), then the sales get added to the iTunes Albums chart.

 

 

I checked yesterday and I'm pretty sure it was a 2 track single. I can't see it going to number 1 even with those high pre-orders.. More like top 5

In effect they wern't pre-orders though..They were sales because Itunes being Itunes released it instead of putting the single on Pre-order. So it reached #30 in the space of an hour without any pre-order effect.
