Oh no, wise decision really but I was really beginning to think Americano had a good chance of #1 so will be disappointing, though wouldnt it be hilarious if it beat JLS (i know slim chance), could climb too i guess.

JLS should shift around 100k first week, maybe a bit more or less. Yolanda Be Cool is on track for 50-70k I guess, but will be more stable than JLS in the weeks afterwards I agree.

Miley could not give a $h!t about the success of this era. She just thinks she can release an album and single and it will sell on its own and she can move onto her next project. But it does not work like that look how badly her single and album are dropping in the UK. Other artists would die to promote on TCA and the World Cup and she just says no as if she can afford to

I would love Americano to beat JLS- its so strange, but I much prefer it to TCIA

Wont happen though, JLS are at T4 so that will boost its sales even further

Drake at 40 :D.. I really hope this climbs now and actually charts unlike his other singles :(

& I really can't see JLS selling 100k with this single.. They haven't done much promo at all for it either compared to previous singles.. The BGT performance would have probably lost them a lot of sales being a whole month before their release date

Agreed, though I really can't see them staying at #1 for a second week. The following week Green/Lily are out but for me personally,I can see that peaking at #3/4 so in theory it could climb. Actually it really wouldnt surprise me if Katy reclimbs either. This is of course if Americano is actually out on Sunday.

turned down world cup! what is wrong with her billions of viewers! oh and she concentrate on films? if she fails she will soon run back to making music and her fans may have moved on by then!

BTW her last film The Last Song was huge and she just got nominated for 3 awards at TCAs for her role in it...

Its crazy how much the top 10 effect can help a song, look at commander now #5! Top 10 effect is so huge, dont underestimate its power!

Didn't she get a promo slot on the biggest talent show in the UK? That should have done enough, but yeah you're right in the fact that she released the album ages after the performance. But 'Can't Be Tamed' has just gotten her a new peak in side the albums charts. I think it's not dropping that much either. (Well not as much as I thought it would be)

It's a shame that a "loyal devoted fanbase" will insist on buying an artists new single regardless of its quality. 'The Club Is Alive' is like Robbie Williams releasing 'Rudebox' all over again. At least that excuse of a song only made #4 so perhaps the iTunes buying public will somehow see sense and make 'TCIA' the #2 smash it deserves to be. Katy Perry for no. 1 - or even Enrique Iglesias for that matter.

Won't happen though!!! :drama:

'Rudebox' is soooo underrated! :( I think it's my favourite Robbie single

When she was on BGT it was to promote the single and it went top 10 on iTunes but she controversially goes and 'lesbian kisses' someone during the same promo as petty as it max sound that kissed quite a bit of her sales goodbye (I'm talking about the young kids and the parents that buy music for them) and then since then she rushes of to the U.S. goes into hiding to shoot some low profile comedy movie WTF...

Album dropped 5 places since Sunday and we're only in the middle of the week and the single dropped 7 places so far. They will drop a lot more by Sunday I'd imagine because what is going to sell them both now that she's just disappeared? Weekend effect maybe... I wouldn't be suprised if the 2nd single does not even get a music video at this rate! :drama:

:w00t: @ Kelly  hope she climbs!!!!!!!

'Lovelight' (the single that followed) is WAY more underrated and one of his best.

Where does everyone think songs released next week will chart?

3OH!3 feat Ke$ha – My First Kiss

Florence & The Machine – Cosmic Love

JLS - The Club Is Alive

Kelis – 4th Of July (Fireworks)

Lee Ryan – I Am Who I Am / Secret Love

Nathan feat Flo Rida – Caught Me Slippin’

Eliza Doolittle – Pack Up

Ciara feat Ludacris – Ride

Wiley feat Jodie Connor & J2K - Electric Boogaloo (Find A Way)

JLS will probably get to number 1, but I actually have no idea about the rest.. Will be an interesting week to see where they end up

JLS unfortunately #1 but I can pray for a miracle, 3OH!3 and Eliza Dootlittle could get top 10, I didn't know Kelis' release (what a rhyme!) was that soon so won't do as well as it should. :(

'Pack Up''s going to do well I reckon. Top 15/20? 3OH!3 will go Top 5, but will have about 6 weeks top 40.

Lee Ryan 'I Am Who I Am' may do well, but it'll peak and bomb. Maybe do a 'Bittersweet'?

Ciara 'Ride'. The video's been surprisingly popular on iTunes videos, but no promo/lack of airplay may hinder it's chances & Wiley Top 30/40?
