So. Alicia's label seem to have either scrapped or postponed PIIALS for a full release and have decided to move on with re-releasing the album. I imagine it's to boost sales of the album over 1 million.

 

So discuss everything about the new single 'L.O.V.E' (which should premiere soon-ish) and the re-release of 'Element of Freedom' in here! :D

Obviosuly exited for this :D Think they're missing quite a potential smash with Put It In A Love Song though, which surely will sell at it's best in summer?

Not really fussed about 'Put It In A Love Song' not being a single, I just want to see the video. :P

 

'L.O.V.E.' reminds me of the Ashlee Simpson song :lol: can't wait to hear this and I'll definitely be buying the re-release. :D

NOOOOO. OK, my L.O.V.E. for Alicia has turned into HATE. I HATE re-releases.

PIALS wouldn't have done well. The album will have sold around 700K by the time it was released and it's not like Alicia has Britains Got Talent in the summer to give it a big boost. It would probably have broken her string of top ten hits from this era as well.

 

A re-release at least will boost album sales to maybe over a million, it could give Alicia another shot at a #1 single too.

Not bunging out Put It In A Love Song in the UK over the Summer is absolute madness.

Put it in a love song really needs to be released, at leaset in the UK anyway. Such a fun, catchy and uplifting song. Just think it would suit this time of year with the sun shining and loads of people in holiday mood.

Shame if they don't release it :(

It does seem like "Put It in a Love Song" would be received better than if it were re-released in the U.S. Either way, I'm excited for new material. HOWEVER, "Love Is My Disease" would've been a great follow-up to the R&B smash "Un-thinkable (I'm Ready)" for Urban radio. This does not relate to the UK as I appreciate it would probably do very little for the album.

'Love Is My Disease' would probably bomb as a single, but I honestly think it'd help the album majorly. Same goes for 'Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready)' tbh. The thing with Alicia this era in the UK, she seems to have appealed to all radio stations and so the likes of Smooth and Heart and other commercialised stations have grasped to her and I think stations like that would eat up LIMD the most.

I've yet to buy the album, i was planning on getting it tomorrow but might hold off until this re-release is out.

I think she should release 'Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready)', since 'Put It In A Love Song' is a song for summer, but releasing it in around October wouldn't really work.
