It doesn't matter Rob, I can guarantee you'll love Eric Saade anyway!

I hope it's more 'It's Gonna Rain' than 'Manboy' - even if I shamefully liked the latter.

FUCK ME Eric delivers! It's Gonna Rain LIVES!

I think I need a cigarette.

(Oh yeah, clips are up. SWEDISH VICTORY AWAITS for Eric though, I'm certain.)

From the clip it sounds extremely promising but at the minute though, I don't think it sounds quite as good as 'Manboy'.

I wonder how a song like that would perform at ESC, it really is It's Gonna Rain 2.0 :o

Oh wow, Shirley's Angels, what choreography! Hot mess indeed!

Sara Lumholdt will flop but it's very Ryan Tedder and I'm liking it, any chance of her teaming up with Marie for an A*Teens medley? Simon Forsberg looks bored stiff and has no charisma whatsoever.

Linda's song sounds catchy, I can see myself liking that one in full as I can hear strings and piano playing together! The Playtones' song is as awful as I'd thought. HATE this genre.

From the clip, I've decided that 'Popular' doesn't sound as good as 'In The Club'. Hope it sounds better in full studio.

Someone on ESCforum described it as a 'Battlefield' cover. Can see the comparison, but nowhere near as strong sadly.

Everyone knows that the teenage girl friendly pop songs never win MF, no matter how big the star behind them is - Mans, Darin, Eric, Ola, E.M.D., whoever...

There must be something random, unexpected and slightly unconventional waiting in semi 4 for the whole of Sweden to fall in love with, ready to push Eric and Sanna into the runner's up spots once again.

I will be INCREDIBLY ANGRY if something DOES.

It's the Swedish way!

Potential victors from the first two semis are really only Danny (who will be thwarted by Eric) and Sanna. Eric has more chance than Sanna of winning overall, so if there's anything to put a stop to him, it will be waiting in semi 4, and I can't see it being Love Generation somehow...Linda Pritchard's song is supposed to be amazing this year isn't it? And the Bengtzing is in the same semi too...

Rewatching the Saade clip, he looks exhausted. Clearly someone has had a busy year with a career taking off, winning BJSC and maintaining a beard.
Would that not be RedOne?

Possibly, but everyone's doubting Love Generation (who are basically nobodies in Sweden, RedOne aside) will be able to do the job. I reckon they'll come second if their vox are up to scratch.

The Eric Saade song is alright, but it's not a patch on It's Gonna Rain. I prefer it to Manboy, but the lyrics are rather pretentious which puts me off the song slightly. My favourite is Sara Varga

My prediction;

Final: Eric & Sara Varga

Second Chance: Sebastian & Linda

Wasn't Eric Saade a nobody last year and has now become one of Sweden's biggest stars?

Heat 4 will be interesting none the less.

He was a Disney celebrity and a kid's TV presenter so he still had a solid fanbase to vote for him even if he wasn't a star in the mainstream.

I think a better comparison would be Timoteij, especially since they're a girl group. Still, they only managed 5th...

Timoteij are the reason I reckon LG could still do well. Sweden got REALLY excited over Timoteij didn't they? But then three weeks passed and by that point Sweden had found a big favourite in Anna Bergendahl - it could easily go the same way for Love Generation, but with pimp slot I think they're far more likely to be proper contenders.

In theory yes, but then Timoteij were much more likeable. I don't know what Love Generation are like, but Timoteij had the sweet girl next door thing, like Anna Bergendahl. Also their song was much more friendly to the Melfest voters. Love Generation should make the final but I don't even think that's a guarantee. I just struggle to find a decent demographic that will vote for them. However if they do make the final and deliver the goods vocally they should go down well with the international juries.

Well yes, but I think Anna Bergendahl stealing that demographic and appeal that Timoteij would've otherwise had REALLY weakened them. With regards to Love Generation, Loreen is pretty much as close as it gets and I don't even see that as a contender...
