And to be fair I said it'd be in Sweden over the UK i.e. they are more likely to win than us rather than a dead cert.

Realistically, what song could win it for Sweden? Danny is modern but not really hooky enough. Eric is love-him-or-hate-him (or REALLY REALLY hate him). Sanne and Linda, too Swedish. Swingfly, again current, but black artists rarely do well in the contest. The only one I can see having a chance at success is The Moniker, as much as it pains me to say it. Or maybe Sara?

What I'm saying is that we have one really great song, they have 10 that in one way or enough aren't good enough. So gooooooooooo Blue :cheer:

I agree, Sweden aren't going to win this year. Nicke Borg's song has fallen so far down the odds that it's not going to win MF and that would probably have been the one with the best chance in ESC. Danny's song indeed doesn't have too much of a melody, Eric's is too frantic and self indulgent imo to contend for the ESC win and Swingfly might do ok but rap doesn't usually work at ESC. The Moniker's song is very 2007 but would definitely qualify for the final and possibly make top ten, and Sara would, as much as it pains me to say it, possibly go out in the semis again. I don't see that they have a top three on their hands whatever they send, in all honesty. How strange that I'm more confident in our entry doing well than anything from Melodifestivalen could :o

That said, Loreen could have easily been a contender for the ESC win - oh well...

Good Luck UK. Sure you will get lot of votes from Norway. Blue have lot of fans over here.. :)

I reckon their odds of winning are lower than ours. Granted it's not by a huge amount and if Sweden f*** up tomorrow then i'll retract my statement, but as things stand i actually can see Danny and Eric being more likely to win than Blue.

And i'm not just saying that because i'm looning for Popular, i am utterly in love with Sanna's track, but i know that it has no chance of winning MF let alone ESC :(

I reckon Blue have more of a chance than Eric Saade.

Poor Sanna has no chance of winning anything, probably ever :drama: She's to MF what Sash! was to the UK charts :(

She's the eternal bridesmaid :( Which is a shame as she deserves some international recognition.

Maybe they could ask her to present the Swedish votes in ESC this year, I think they should! She NEEDS to be on the worldwide stage, if only for 30 seconds

LOL! Lee looks like he wants to be some sort of mexican or something

EDIT:

The dailymotion link has been taken down. But here it is from youtube (not sure how long it'll last though)

Not a bad performance. You could tell it was their first time performing the song live though... a band as experienced as they are can only get better, right? Nice enough performance though. The dance moves were very eurovision though LOL!

The performance is a KILLLER. AMAZING. Even better than the studio version!
I liked it a lot! Only not sure about the hands in the air arm movements and Lee possibly needs to tone things down a bit

Yeah, Lee is very "audible" in that performance. Still, it's a better track that the UK has sent in the last few years. I'd even say it's better than 'It's My Time'. ** shrugs **

for me is the best UK entry since Imaani back in 1998 :o ^_^

I'm the only one that thinks we are going to flop with this track, I really don't like it. Sounds a bit too poppy
