P!nk only needs a #8 to bag the whole top 12.

But the point about Eurythmics is they have had one and only one song peak at each position. Pink has had two number ones and two number sixes.

Eminem - Not Afraid 5-6-5-6-5-10-14-14

one i really like is :heehee:

35-1-1-1-1-4-6-6-10-10-11-14-15-19-12-13-21-26-29-35-43-50-60-68-85-62-60-67-59-74-82-98-OUT-47-34-52-85-90-92-97-OUT-89-OUT

entered at 35 on remix downloads alone and then went to #1 on downloads alone, which was then the biggest jump to #1 inside the top 40, jumped from 19 to 12 because of xmas and was infront of the second single of the album and it re-entered the chart from being performed by Steph Dean at Max's funeral on Hollyoaks. Do you know what it is yet?

Thoroughly awful song but Celine Dion's Think Twice took ages to get to number one, stayed there for seven weeks before dropping out pretty quickly

53-42-52-30-28-22-20-9-8-5-6-4-2-2-2-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-3-4-12-17-22-34-51-67-70

The Killers' Mr. Brightside has 71 weeks top 100, but only 3 in the top 40.

That is just metal isn't it!

I loved the first 4 weeks of chipmunk's 'oopsy daisy' chart run -

1-3-3-7-

:kink:

Gordon Haskell and No Doubt: both were #2 behind $h!t songs and both spend only 4 weeks top 40.

Vanessa Carlton's 'A Thousand Miles' was quite good - 4 weeks at 18. The Feeling did the same four straight weeks at #16 I think.

Only song to still be at number 1 in it's 22nd week in the chart.

It peaked 8 weeks into its chart run, left the chart due to the deletions rule, re-entered at 9 and has spent an epic number of weeks in the top 75!

3-5-6-5-4-4-4-2-{1}-2-2-4-5-3-7-11-19-25-30-37-42-50-52-70->24

One that got to number 1 after xmas. I love those!

18-22-23-17-20-20-20-{14}-16-15-17-17-22-30-42-61-66->17

A real slow burner and holds the record as the biggest selling non top 10 peaking single (I think)

The Tamperer feat. Maya - Feel It

3-4-3-5-2-{1}-4-5-11-21-30-42-42-54-62-61-68->17

Unsual chart run at the time (98) as it climbed outside the xmas period.

Ta to polyhex for the chart runs!

All Saints - Never Ever

These two hold the record for most copies sold before actually reaching number 1. I know Never Ever had sold 770,000 before it got to number 1. Can't remember what the Steps track had sold.

FYI, I make its total sales ~659k

Only song to still be at number 1 in it's 22nd week in the chart.

Frankie Laine's I Believe was #1 in its 22nd (and 23rd) weeks on the chart.

11-8-4-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-1-1-1-2-...

This has already been posted in this thread ;o

18-22-23-17-20-20-20-{14}-16-15-17-17-22-30-42-61-66->17

A real slow burner and holds the record as the biggest selling non top 10 peaking single (I think)

I'm almost certain that's Jay-Z & Linkin Park's Numb / Encore.

Its chart run has also already been posted here

EDIT: Actually, Jason Mraz - I'm Yours may well have overtaken Numb / Encore by now

I don't know if that's correct any more due the downloads..

One I can think of is I'm Yours.

Anyway, another weird chart run is the start of Boyzone's Gave It All Away:

9-20-29-10-22-...

LOL you just beat me

Hehe :kink:

Mraz's top 100 run to date, for reference:

78-71-61-55-82-61-34-28-22-11-14-14-21-21-25-30-36-35-32-25-28-32-32-35-32-35-34-35-37-39-35-44-47-47-50-51-48-46-53-57-51-27-46-48-55-30-40-39-48-57-64-72-90-100-x(3)-78-85-99-95-52-72-67-60-70-78-85-86-89-98-91-84-x(2)-82-86-x(5)-96-86-85-97-… [still on chart]

Vidcapper, anything you can add to that to fill in the missing 14 (according to the OCC's website) weeks? ;o

10 weeks are gaps between its 4 top 100 runs, I assume it amassed 4 weeks top 200 before breaking the top 100
