July 21, 201016 yr Author Uber boring week. "New York" A-list, seriously? Not pleased to see Inna c-listed again.
July 21, 201016 yr SEE. I did say they would drop Diana this week. That does not bode well for her future singles being playlisted. :( They're stupid, can't they see the album is back in the top 20 for crying out loud?

I love their music, but surely it's not fair that they stay on while diana's removed despite making more progress? Edited July 21, 201016 yr by DougJames_
July 21, 201016 yr Author From the new adds, these will get A-listed for sure: Brandon Flowers (some hype around it), Jay-Z (based on chart performance), Vampire Weekend (all their singles seem to get A-listed, even if they flop).
July 21, 201016 yr Pretty awful additions, with the exception of Brandon who is good, and Kele, whose new song I haven't heard. The other newies I just youtubed and am not a fan of. And in place of Kylie is just disgraceful :kink:

Hardly anyone else supports them other than Radio 1. They exist for music, not chart success.
July 21, 201016 yr Uber boring week. "New York" A-list, seriously? Not pleased to see Inna c-listed again. Tbh I'm pleased that she's at least got playlisted because I have clearly lost my hope previously. I think Inna's going B-list and maybe A-list if the song is a success (like they did with Sugababes 'About a Girl' (up to A-list after #5 on the first midweeks) and others.
July 21, 201016 yr Words just fail me as to who comes up with such a dire playlist.Everyweek is it the same Indie/rock/alterntive crap that will not even bother the Top 100.The B and C lists are particulrly dire and most of those songs are just the DJ's trendy picks.Basshunter and Diana out already does that make any sense the week of release.

To be fair, if 'traditional' pop acts like Diana are flopping that badly in the midweeks with a single they will be booted out on release week, I just thought they may actually realise that her album's climbing back up again and reconsider that one.

To be honest, if the song doesn't actually 'sell' it doesn't mean that it's unpopular with the listeners. I think the charts are only a good representation of non-indie acts success these days. That's why I never criticize their bunch of indie acts in the playlist because I don't know what is the representation of their success. But when the things go about Pop or Dance, for instance, this year they've made hell a lot mistakes!
July 21, 201016 yr They seem to be ignoring the Wanted on here I expected them to not do much for Diana- I dont think they generally support all XF acts singles, the lead one, but then they lose interest

Yeah, I'm not going to criticise their support of indie/alternative acts because I like a lot of them, and they are genuinely popular bands with a good following and sell out live shows etc. I just wish they'd be more fair on other acts, that's all.
July 21, 201016 yr i doubt the saturdays will get number 1 now... Ne-yo and tinchy are up againgst them..
July 21, 201016 yr 1-Upfront List Fake Blood - I Think I Like It I've read comments on here about people not "getting" Yolanda Be Cool. This song is absolute $h!te and is the type of trash that gives dance music a bad reputation. So it's disappointing to see Radio 1 champion this garbage whilst ignoring the vastly superior 'Alors On Danse'. I seriously hope Fake Blood bombs on its ass because if there's any song I don't "get", it's this. Edited July 21, 201016 yr by Hitstastic
July 21, 201016 yr The Count & Sinden, Blood Red Shoes and Vampire Weekend listed! :D Excellent for the Drums as well!
July 21, 201016 yr I wondered why I heard 'New York' loads on Radio 1 recently. Hasn't that song been out ages? :s
