You said it yourself, Israel has really done a number on Iran. No airforce to speak of, running out of missiles, proxies not receiving orders and staying out of it... I think they're too weak to retaliate.

Yeah not great to wake up to the USA de facto if not de jure declaring war on Iran. If this is just a regional dispute between Israel and Iran, there's no reason to get involved, if there's concern about nuclear weapons and that they need to get rid of, congrats, you've just rerun the Iraq War justification. When in actual fact this is the US running in lockstep with Israel.

That’s American politics. Both sides are as pro-Israel as you can be. Trump’s son in law is close associates with settlers. His biggest donors are zionists and most Republicans are fierce pro-Israel evangelicals. If push comes to shove he was always going to bend the knee for Israel. It’s obviously a betrayal of his core message but I doubt anyone is surprised.

They’re trying to force Iran into a total surrender but they’re never going to completely surrender under such threats so then you’re left with having to carry out the threats. Very messy situation that Israel wants to prolong and Iran haven’t even responded yet if they even can to what happened last night.

No casualties but the US is monitoring this closely and Trump's in the situation room with his top advisers. Most US servicemen were in underground bunkers. If one US servicemen dies you can bet Trump will annhilate Iran.
