Paris Hilton checked in with her Twitter followers (@ParisHilton) moments ago while in Ibiza with news on a new music video for a second studio album on her Heiress Records label. The 29-year-old writes:

PARIS HILTON is reviving her pop career with a new single - and is modelling herself on KYLIE MINOGUE.

The heiress, whose brief pop career flopped a few years ago, has recorded a single inspired by the pop princess, 42, and is releasing an album.

Paris, 28, said: "I've always loved Kylie Minogue. She's one of my favourite artists.

"I've been really inspired by her. I wanted my music to kind of emulate her.

"I love her sound and I love the way she is."

She added: "I've finished recording my record. It's like dance or club music. The album's going to be out in a few months."

I'm looking forward to it :o She has no vocal talent whatsoever but she does make some catchy songs. Kylie Minogue isn't an amazing singer (nasally imo) and I don't think it's an unreachable goal to make an album like hers.

 

Mind you I dont like Paris as a person.

The only halfway decent song she was ever given was 'Nothing In This World'.

 

I know Kylie's far from the world's best vocalist, but her flair and personality shines through which is important.

I'm probably the only person on the planet who actually likes Paris as a person so of course I'm excited for this!

In interviews maybe, but Kylie, as amazing as she is, doesn't put her personality through in her music to be fair. Her songs on her new album could have easily have been sung by someone else, they aren't songs only Kylie would do really. That being said I do like her obviously, and I'm not saying Paris is at the level she is.

I have zero interest in her as a person but to be fair to her the first album did have some decent stuff on it. If anyone else had released it, it would've done much better than it did. She'll get slaughtered for whatever she releases though, I remember the papers taking the p*** about how Stars Are Blind had apparently completely flopped. It went top 5.....

Haven't heard much past Stars Are Blind and Nothing In This World but i still love the latter.

I heard a couple of her songs and while they never set the world alight, i quite enjoyed them.

 

It'll be nice to see what she comes up with.

I loved 'Stars Are Blind' :wub: :kink: not really a fan of her. I only started to like her after that special interview with Fearne Cotton :).

When i was in Slovenia in 06, the place i was staying at played Stars Are Blind so much. It was alright at first, but by the end of the 3 weeks i wanted to kill someone every time it came on
