This album is amazing! My favourite at the moment is probably 'Government Hooker'... There's actually quite a lot of emotion in some of it! "I'm gunna drink my tears tonight; I'm gunna drink my tears and cry, because I know you love me baby.."

 

Also, Americano is a highlight, along with Scheiße, Bloody Mary and You & I. And of course the three singles which don't need naming, and the promotional single 'Hair'... And the fantastic 'Marry The Night.'

 

There are so many good tracks and I thought it was a bland album to begin with... How wrong was I?!

this album grew on me a lot since I bought it (the day it was released); back then, I thought that it only had about 3 highlights altogether. on third listen, almost every single song on the album grew on me and I find it hard to choose a second favourite as I love well over half of the album!

my favourite is 'the edge of glory', as it is my favourite song by her altogether. it's just brilliant, and doesn't have some of the freakshow lyrics that she has on some of her other songs.

my second favourite, ermm... so hard to choose :( it's definitely between 'hair', 'heavy metal lover', 'marry the night', 'scheisse', 'government hooker' and 'bloody mary'. I find it incredibly hard to order them...

She has just said on Facebook that the video for her 4th single from 'Born This Way' is just days away :o. No idea what song it is, but I hope its either Schiesse or MTN. I think it could be 'Hair' though. Anyway, very unexpected but great suprise :w00t:

It's SO gonna be You & I :( It should be Hair though, then Marry The Night/Scheisse then the whichever of the latter two isn't released first.

Hoping for Marry The Night or Hair

I have listened to the album so many times and i still dont think its as good as The Fame Monster. I want to love it so much more but i just dont :-(

I still think sales for this era should be higher. The momentum for the album died down after week 2. It could re surge by Xmas.

I would be VERY surprised if the album wasn't over a million come 2012 as she has a minimum of 2 singles left this year for sure, You and I around August/Sept time, and another around Nov/Dec time, and I am sure it will remain in the top 10/20 over the entire xmas period :)

Lady GaGa has apparently confirmed that 'Marry The Night' will get a release at some point. :D Hopefully it'll be the fifth single.

I hope that's true! I think if it is to be released it should be released around November/December, I always think when listening to it I could see a type of wintery-type video.

It is the obvious fifth single choice for sure. And if it does well, she can close the era with Sheisse, then it doesn't matter so much if radio doesn't play it/it flops :D

I'd like her to release the following as the fifth, sixth and seventh singles:

06 Heavy Metal Lover

07 Scheiße

 

 

On a different note, if she decides to re-release the album, this track 'Out of Control' HAS to be on it! I can imagine it being incredible once its had a bit of work done on the production.

 

 

That has the makings of a great song, but it sounds more The Fame than BTW.

I decided to cut the dead wood out of the record so 'Hair', 'Bad Kids', 'You & I' and all the bonus tracks have gone. Thus creating one of the best pop records ever...

 

'Born This Way' also has the accolade of being the all time longest to grow track. Finally clicked last week!

PERHAPS I SHOULD GIVE HAIR ANOTHER FIGHTING CHANCE.

 

And shame on you hermaphrodite pillow, 'You & I' is just so "arrestingly fabulous".
