Unless you are Black, Asian, Chinese etc from an ethnic minority group you are in no position to claim that there are barely any racist people.Do racist attacks still happen-yes, do people face prejudice in the job market based on their race-yes.There is still a long way to go and I do not buy Cheryl is a changed saintly person after she attacked that toilet attendant she has just been very clever at hiding her tracks.

I'm actually a quarter black. Most people presume I'm white, but the racist guy I mentioned in my post stopped talking to me when he found out I'm part black (my mum is about as black as Alexandra Burke, so people always realize when they see her). However, he's pretty much the only person I've had an experience like that with. My mum hasn't had any major racist encounters in the past decade either.

The most common form of discrimination I'm seeing nowadays is Islamophobia (I'm not a muslim, but I'm friends with many, and so many times people have been nasty to them, refusing to ride on the bus with them thinking they're going to blow it up, telling them to "go home" when they were born in the UK, strangers they don't know and will never see again asking them to change their clothes, etc.). It's kind of silly that people go on about racism so much now. Whilst it does still exist, and would ideally not exist at all, there's much bigger, similar problems which less people seem to care about.

I agree that Cheryl is overrated by the media, but I was on Digital Spy yesterday, and a couple of people were suggesting they wanted her dead (and every other post was talking about the toilet incident, when everybody in the country has known about if for ages now). I'm sure it was spur of the moment, but it was really cruel. Cheryl is not THAT bad, and I wouldn't really expect her to ask the media to say some bad things about her. If I were painted as the nation's saint, I'd just live with it to be honest, even though I wouldn't fully deserve it.

Actually you do raise a sad point about Islamophobia it has become the acceptable face of racism.I still think though that it is wrong to act as if racism is still not an issue for black and asian communities though who still remain disproportionately affected by poor housing, living in inner city communities and are far more likely to suffer violent racist attacks.

Back on topic,X-factor has just been too stage managed this year and there is no excuse for putting vocally inferior Katie who fair enough will generate alot of media headlines this year over better acts.People are obviously going to draw their own conclusions as to why.

Is X-Factor releasing all the songs that contestants performed? It be good to see where they chart
Woah! Those are some quite good songs! :o Usually on the X Factor they're just the same boring old thing again and again (especially when they have a week devoted to an artist from 40 years ago, it's such a snooze-fest).
Is there a theme this week?

yes the theme is number 1s and here are the rumoured song choices:

FYD – Billionaire by Travie McCoy

Mary Byrne – It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World by James Brown

Rebecca Ferguson – Teardrops by Womack and Womack

John Adeleye – One Sweet Day by Mariah Carey

Nicolo Festa – Just Dance by Lady GaGa

Belle Amie – Airplanes by BoB

Aiden Grimshaw – Mad World by Tears For Fears

Cher Lloyd – Just Be Good To Me by The SOS band

One Direction – Vida La Vida by Coldplay

Storm Lee – Built This City by Starship

Matt Cardle – When Love Takes Over by David Guetta

Katie Waissel – We Are The Champions by Queen

Hopelfully Just Dance will get a little boost again after Nicolo's performance! Will be interesting to see how he's going to do it. Especially since I remember him saying before his audition that everything sounds the same these days and he can't tell the difference between Madonna, Lady GaGa and Miley Cyrus. And now he's doing a Lady GaGa song.

I'm looking forward to hearing Belle Amie sing that :o

So am I. I don't know who Belle Amie is/are, but the song is amazing! I hope they deliver.

But, as someone else said, one of the songs there didn't get to #1, so either the theme, or part of the list is wrong.

I haven't watched any episodes yet apart from the 2nd Judges houses episode, so I might be wrong - but I think they're the girlgroup? ^_^

It's A Man's Man's Man'd World

also didn't get #1 - only made #13 in fact.

It looks like it would not be charting which is right if they want to make the results a secret. It charting will definitely show who are favorites and not as well as screw all the betting numbers.

From Itunes store:

"To protect the integrity of the X Factor competition, sales information in relation to the live contestant performances from the current session of X factor will not be reflected in any published sales chart."

I think the theme has been changed to Top 10's at the last minute someone in production has clearly been sleeping on the job this week.

The tracklisting is right for tonight's show they are also listed in the Sun's newspaper, they are hardly any spoilers now. The theme has to be US/UK's No.1s

But one of them didn't even go top 10.
