August 13, 201113 yr Argh so frustrating...want to know who 'they' are and how they managed to kidnap Reece and Gwen's baby, and who Gwen's going to hand Jack over to.
August 13, 201113 yr What a waste of Vera! She had quite a lot of potential, definitely more than just standard end of episode fodder! :( I'm still not at all sure what's happening either, the Oswald stuff just bores me and there is no real reason why people would suddenly look to him as some sort of weird prophet. All that angels stuff was just a bit crap really. Am slightly intrigued as to why it was so important for him to say a specific word though, that does suggest that he's being used for something more direct than just swaying opinion of FICO.

I'm not sure there was supposed to be much relevance to the word "revelation", given Jilly Kitzinger at the moment seems to be unaware of what's really going on behind the scenes. I took it just to be standard PR drivel. The whole Oswald thing is the big gaping hole in the plot. Despite the extraordinary circumstances, I really just CAN'T imagine the general public ever switching opinion so quickly to laud a convicted paedophile as their new prophet. Even by sci-fi standards, it's stretching plausibility a little TOO far.
August 13, 201113 yr I wondered if there were specific words he was saying that were subconsciously turning people round to him (thus getting around the whole paedophile business of him being totally unlikeable) but you're probably right that I'm reading too much into one scene. I did approve of the end credits this week though, the guy who came to talk to Jilly was just listed as 'handsome man'. :D He was quite early on also so I assume he may have a larger role to play in coming weeks...
August 13, 201113 yr I did approve of the end credits this week though, the guy who came to talk to Jilly was just listed as 'handsome man'. :D He was quite early on also so I assume he may have a larger role to play in coming weeks... You just know John Barrowman probably INSISTED on casting that one :D I'd guess you're probably right, just purely because as we're now mid-way through the series, they really do need to start exploring the whole who-is-behind-it sooner rather than later. As an aside, I noticed that like Arlene Tur (Vera), Lauren Ambrose (Jilly) is listed as guest cast rather than main cast. I reckon she'll be the next big death.
August 13, 201113 yr Noooo! They can't kill off Jilly too, I would be GUTTED. Unless it happens in some fabulously misjudged PR stunt involving sparkles and an explosion of business cards in which case I may allow it. :D
August 13, 201113 yr Oh I'm with you. Lauren Ambrose is by far the best thing about this series so far. It's all the small touches. I LOVED that little moment last week when Vera dismissively told her the Oswald campaign was "disgusting", and Jilly literally jumps for joy and squeals "I KNOW"
August 14, 201113 yr Just wanted to say.... GO ESTHER! :cheer: She kicked that creeps ass, sure it doesn't bring Vera back and she didn't actually kill him properly but.....GO ESTHER!
August 18, 201113 yr One of the best epsiodes to date nice to see Esther getting a bit of action in there, seems the Oswald story has taken a bit of a break
August 25, 201113 yr Oh dear Jester, I think that is the geekiest post I have EVER read. In none Jester related news, I think that was pretty much the worst episode of Torchwood I've ever seen. Hated it.
August 25, 201113 yr :o Major Kira from Star Trek DS9! They are all coming back  her husband Alexander Siddig is in Primeval :D Deep Space 9 geek :D
August 25, 201113 yr Oh dear Jester, I think that is the geekiest post I have EVER read. Ha! Well, I am QUITE the Star Trek fan.
August 25, 201113 yr I thought it was good at the end of the episode, but I found up the build-up a little pointless, I'm not sure what it added to the miracle asides from adding a major character right at the end  and I definitely don't have a problem with this sort of thing, but I didn't see the point of the gay sex scenes either :( Edited August 25, 201113 yr by C.W
August 26, 201113 yr Ha! Well, I am QUITE the Star Trek fan. Another Trek actor in next week's episode :D has appeared in TNG, DS9 and Voyager, that should narrow it down.
August 26, 201113 yr Anyone starting to feel we're not going to see proper aliens :( After all if it's alien it's Torchwood -_- Did let out a little bit of wee when The Doctor was namechecked, and the Trickster's Brigade too :kink:
