I'm glad Get Outta My Way is top 500 again. It's so much better than All the Lovers (in my opinion).

I'd be literally devestated if 30-ish ended up being the peak for Alors On Danse in the officials...it's release week next week and if it falls down again, Radio 1 will remove it and that will be that. I can't say I've ever seen the video on the music channels.

I have and I was gutted. Basically Clubland is the only channel that play the whole video all the way through. I've seen the video on MTV Hits, MTV Dance and The Box but they all cut the first chorus (ie; they basically don't show Stromae drinking several cans of lager for 30 seconds) then it just really badly cuts into the second verse. Terrible editing of the video as if they couldn't even be bothered to do a decent job. I'd be ashamed if I was behind the editing.

Yeah, on Viva they play the UK's Top 40 every day. I was watching it today, and when they got to Alors on danse, they said something along the lines of "Unfortunately, we were unable to get hold of the video" and then they played the new Robbie Williams song instead! I was so annoyed! It's going to be top 40 next week, so I hope they get a move on and get the video. Viva is on Freeview, so a lot of people will have the channel, and Stromae's missing out on the opportunity to have his video played on TV everyday. Let's face it, he's not some worldwide superstar that people will want to buy songs from even though they haven't heard them yet.

 

I think Alors on danse has a chance of being #1 in the European Hot 100's year-end chart, so it would be a shame if it didn't get more popular in the UK.

 

It's got a remix at #163 though. I don't know what that's about!

Having looked at Ireland's iTunes I wonder if The Script will do a "Scouting For Girls"? Ie; be the highest new entry in the UK next week but their sales will rapidly plummet whilst another lower new entry doesn't hit #1 but ultimately sells more copies (ie; has more staying power).

 

I still suspect McFly and Alexandra Burke will both do well in the UK though. Maybe The Script won't be as successful here?
