he's releasing the next best track on the album (imo) 'No 'Love' :D

 

My judgement is not clouded over the type of music I like though - and the music the above create is not it.

 

I hope no-one is going to go as far as to hint it is 'racist' to hate rap music. After all, I like Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Beyonce, Kelis, not to mention some reggae & soul songs. Also, as a general rule, over 90% of the music I like is by female artists, regardless of colour.

No-one is hinting at you for being racist, they're (rightly) more confronting you and your bizarre ignorance on rap/urban music. This thread has shown just how ignorant and how quick you are to judge, just because of the artists skin colour and past work. Bruno Mars is the male Alicia Keys (imo) and Labrinth has got nothing to do with rap either. If you actually took off those "oh, they're black and therefore must do rap $h!t so i won't like it" glasses, and went to listen to 'Let The Sun Shine' and 'Just The Way You Are' you may be surprised and might actually like them (considering they're as far removed from rap as you can get)!

I have to agree though Heartbeat has such a good video but the song is dull but I still want it to do well.

Anyway, yeah 'Heartbeat' and 'Start Without You' are both underwhelming yet I want(ed) them to do well solely because of the artists (which isn't a good trait, I'll admit but every artist releases one dud in their career).

I loved it for like a few weeks but the novelty wore off. It's the same with most people. They like a song at first but it gets really boring really quickly.

I do like Heartbeat- that piano riff is infectious, it does sound quite similar to 3 Words but imo far better

 

well on the 26th BM stands more of a chance than he did on the 4th at least, but he still has Labrinth and Tinie Tempah to contend with- I do like Just The Way You Are but I MUCH prefer Written In The Stars and I really hope that can make it, I havent heard Let The Sunshine yet

Fair enough, I just think it makes you look slightly hypocritical to criticise others for liking it when you were once "praising" it, infact you once gave me a long rant about how great it is when I once criticised the song.

Heartbeat is far better then 3 words. I can see why people think its a little bland, but sometimes simple is effective. Really great tune, so many better songs out there then the hideous #1 just makes me annoyed that a terrible song can reach #1 but some great songs cant.

I wasn't criticising Marrb for liking it, I was criticising Marrb for criticising a song that is probably on par with SWY. :lol:

 

I've tracked down that thread when SWY leaked in full and I was looning over it - I even said it was better than ANL at one point. :( Sorry. :lol:

 

I think it was more in the moment though. I just heard a new song out of the blue from Alex and jumped on it. In hindsight, it's not as great as I thought it was.
