I dont think it'll get #1, obviously x factor helps, but it has to be a good song at the end of the day.

#1. I like it, and I hated Joe in X Factor. If Olly can get to #1, why shouldn't he? The fact is, it's a brilliant song, and only slightly worsened by a mediocre singer. Plus Kings Of Leon's comeback single won't do anything like as well, it's only once in a lifetime a band has a song like Sex On Fire.

I'm a massive fan of Wor Joe, but this sounds like a Scissor Sisters reject. Hoping it will grow, but it just sound nothing like him :(

On first listen, its ok. Nothing breathtaking. He won't be a Leon - nothing will ever be as bad as that. Although I can't see him having any longevity with this style, might last to the 2nd album in the UK but this music ain't going into Europe or America, that's for sure.

Well, given the original was a massive smash in Scandinavia I would say this sort of music could do well in Europe! :lol:

LOVE the original from Donkeyboy. This is a complete rehash and Joe does it very well I think. Hope it's a hit for him as I think it will be bigger than people think/predict. I'm mainly happy that he's been given the chance to give this song some recognition here in the UK :wub:

 

Also, regarding "Somebody"... are you sure there won't be another song on the album that's called 'Somebody', as i'm sure the bit we heard on X Factor a couple of weeks had 'Somebody' in it's lyric (and it sounded like it could have been in the title etc..)

:huh: Mika? Anyway I do not like the song at all (so electronically modified that sucks even worse) but I wouldn't expect anything less than no1 (only if shame becomes really huge but I really doubt that).

The KOL song is better but not much likely to make a big impact it has nothing on their 2 heavy hits and it is not catchy at all. How the hell could Joe's management choose this song as a first single anyway? Isn't it a a cover of DonkeyBoy's version? They cannot afford to write songs for the winners and they get to no1 either way so they have decided to do only clones and covers :blink:

I agree Joe's voice is much better than this song and do I hear autotune.Its seems that Syco just got lazy and the original is actually rather good.I can well see it charting at the same time.Top 3 at best, maybe not even 1.

:lol: at the name of the original artist "Donkeyboy". Poor Joe has a v weak voice always thought so on X Factor. The original is much better.
