All three are genius, I think any song with this title has to at least be a 9/10 record. But the Hurts song edges it for me, then Black and then Gwen.

These songs sound surprisingly similar. All very good.

 

My ranking is Gwen > Black > Hurts

 

Richard Hawley playing guitar on Gwen's is a plus

I don't think there's a need of poll.. People can just write their thoughts

 

I chose Gwen because I like the lyrics the most. Although Black's song is brilliantly melancholic too. In Hurts song the lyrics are the weakest link.

Hurts obv, though Black is good too. Gwen I hardly remember. Ace Of Base would be a challenger, but that was Beautiful Life :lol:

Black really is an all-time classic... just one of those records that will be around for always and always remembered fondly... in fact, all the Black singles from his first 2 albums were classics.

 

Hurts is superb, too..... but there's much better songs on the album (Illuminated :heart: ).

 

I like Gwen... but I can live without her 'Wonderfuil Life'... easily the weakest of the three.

Gwens is absolutely fantastic, a definite highlight from the disappointing "The Sweet Escape"
