Bodies was hardly a sterling illustration of his work - I thought it was boring ... and at the time ... I'd rather have had Alex's song over it.. I thought it was awful. I bet if he'd have released the far better 'You Know Me' .... it would have given Bad Boys a run for its money.

Edit ... speaking of Rob ... has he and Gary left the top 10 iTunes yet?

Bad Boys is still played all the time on Heart. Obviously it's only one year on but it's certainly not going to be forgotten in a hurry at that rate - at least not by people who listen to Heart FM, anyway

On the other hand, I haven't heard Bodies even once this year, but maybe that's just me... still hear You Know Me quite a bit though.

I don't see whats the point in releasing a single on a certain date, when the videos released and its already available to buy on the album,

& Katy's performing 'Firework' this week and the video should be out soon. So I think her label should scrap the release in November and bring it to this Sunday.

'Bad Boys' is amazing. Still one year on! I really cannot fault it. It's one of my favourite songs I think!

I thought the lyrics to Bodies were pants though. The tune was just about bearable ... but the lyrics ... I just found them a bit ... pretentious.

That's an insane idea, it still needs time to build up airplay and video rotation etc, one X-Factor performance doesn't guarantee it immediate success, although of course it will be a big boost.

I'll second that. It is true pop gold, as one other poster has said. :)

I think Bad Boys is turning into a Heart staple which made me tire of it a bit but Alex performing it at Help for Heroes was brilliant.Still think Robbie could have comeback with something stronger than Bodies which is not one of his fan favs.

So glad CTM is top 10  Poor Joe, hope he doesn't fall too far!

I'm in love with No Love right now

I actually don't think X Factor will have as much effect on the Number 1 songs this series. No X Factor related number 1 this week and I can't see Katy/Diana getting there next week. Whereas, last year in the first few weeks we had Alex, Cheryl and JLS

Just looking at next weeks releases.. Predictions on the songs I've heard:

The Wanted Heart Vacancy: Number 1

N Dubz Best Behaviour: Top 10

Skepta feat. Preeya Kalidas Cross My Heart: Top 20

Taylor Swift Mine: Top 30

Travie McCoy We'll Be Alright: Top 40

Jay Sean feat. Nicki Minaj 2010: Top 10

I think Taylor will go top 10. 'Mine' is getting played a lot on music channels and radio too. Travie won't reach top 40 at all.

Pixie Lott - Broken Arrow #12. Looks like it will get top 10 afterall :)
i still maintain 'bodies' will be remembered for much longer than that generic rubbish that was 'bad boys'.she got to no1 cos she was the latest xfactor winner and her song was catchy if crap!!the xfactor performance simply propelled it beyond the 150k mark.robbie would have to release something like 'rock dj' or 'angels' to have a massive singles hit in terms of sales.it happens to all artist esp after theyve been around for 20 years like robbie!!

I did prefer Bodies to Bad Boys at the time, but imo I think Bad Boys will probably last longer than Bodies, Bodies was quite a poor comeback for him- and Bad Boys whilst generic, was quite an interesting new direction for an X Factor winner and kind of made her more unique (it wasnt a big ballad, a cover etc.) and its still in the top 300 on itunes (how I personally measure a songs longevity) personally, it didnt do much for me, and I still am not mad on it, but it was certainly a good pop song, Bodies I liked at the time, but have gone off it now, You Know Me though was great

on next week, The Wanted could be number 1, but dont underestimate that 2012 song, I think that could be very big- I think N-Dubz will be top 10, and Skepta and Taylor top 20, I think Travie's song will be totally overshadowed by Billionaire

I hope Travie doesn't reach the top 40. One of the worst songs of the year, completely ruined a classic! :puke:

Oh god. I hadn't heard it before so youtubed it to see which classic he'd 'ruined'. I'm no fan of Billionaire, but oh dear at this Supergrass cover :drama: I don't know about ruined, more like absolutely murdered.

I honestly think Cee Lo could have a third week at #1, none of those new releases look like much of a threat. We could have another 4 new entries in the top 40 from The Wanted, Taylor, N-Dubz and Jay Sean but I don't think any of them are #1s. Skepta is a strange one, he really *should* be huge, he's got everything for it and yet he's not successful. I suppose Bad Boy was big for a song not supported by R1 and Rescue Me was a decent sized hit but I can't see Cross My Heart being the one to bring Skepta to the top ten. Maybe a second top 20 hit for him.

So I think it'll be either Cee Lo again or a climber by Duck Sauce or Bruno Mars. Or, worst case scenario, Mike frikking Posner -_-

I'm pretty sure The Wanted will beat Cee-Lo next week. I think people are underestimating their fanbase, which has only grown since their first single.

It'll soon get to the stage where their whole fanbase will buy their new songs the week it's released, causing them to get heavy first week sales.

Also, I love Travie's new song. I would love it to go top 40. I think (musically), it's better than Billionaire, which is quite dull now. I think Billionaire has been such a roaring success because of its lyrics.

And 2012 will be big. Galaxy have been playing it for like 3 months now though, so some people could be bored of it.

And Heart FM annoy me tbh. It's Bad Boys they'll be playing in years to come, even though it's not Alex's best. It's Fight For This Love that they'll be playing for years, even though it's not Cheryl's best. It's I Gotta Feeling that they'll be playing for the next 30 years, even though it's not the BEP's best. You get the message. They play mediocre songs again, and again, and then years in the future they claim that they're classics.

Also, I prefer Bodies to Bad Boys. I always found Bad Boys boring, and I still listen to Bodies occasionally now. It's All Night Long and Start Without You that I love!

And then there's the fact that they almost never play any hip hop.
