Eh? I think there's only about 3K copies between her and Take That isn't there? And she's still selling. She's got a second week at the top surely?

And Take That are selling too. If i had to put money on it, i'd go for TT being #1.

And you'd lose because Take That are only marginally ahead at the moment.

Take That could still be selling well on physicals though. As i said previously, Itunes is not the only one retailer people would buy their music from. Besides, their documentary premieres tomorrow so there are going to be a lot of press coverage for them for the rest of the week.Should boost their sales, i think.

Ya the documentary will boost sales and we dont know how strong physical sales are or how they are selling on other download sites, either way it will be a close run for number 1 and i hope they can hold on, i dont even care if its just by 1 single copy.

Then I suggest you go and buy an extra copy...just in case :P

I have done so but my purchases all count for the irish chart and there is no way i can help its UK position unfortunatly.
At the moment it is only 3,000 ahead of rihanna with all sales combined so hopefully it can hold onto its midweeks number 1 position until sunday.

On irish ITunes it has dropped back to No 8 so I guess it will not make No 1 on Friday .....

I think with good promo the album itself should do a whole lot better ;) ...the XF appearance on Sunday should help

I was just kidding, I think they'll have a good chance of going to number 1 next week after the documentary and X Factor performance. I kind of agree with the no promotion thing, there's been a lot of hype towards them as a group and the upcoming tour but very little for the single itself. They've outshone their own music which is never a good thing.

Listened to the whole song yesterday - far too much Robbie Williams.

The chorus is great, but it may as well be a Robbie song.

His voice just doesn't seem to go with the others - the track loses its sincerity when he starts singing.

the flood is 100000x better than the rihanna song.. this dance/pop $h!t really annoys me!

Jesus, Rihanna is only 1000 copies ahead... Come on, Take That!!!!!!!!!!!! There's still hope!

With an album like this( yes, I've already heard it in full),you are more than deserve this number one spot!!!!!!

I heard some of the album too! What a pity Take That didn't have the balls to go with the quite fantastic Mark Owen led SOS as a lead song ... instead of the tired old Gary/Robbie wailing. THEN ... Take That would deserve to be number 1.

The Flood has dropped to #3 on iTunes and I think people just have to wake up to the fact that it is only Take That fans and a few Robbie fans who think the song is 'great'. It isn't. Rihanna's song isn't great either ... but I can see how it would make more people download on a whim more than The Flood.

On a happier note ... if the rest of the songs on Progress are even half as good as SOS (heard in full on Rock FM this morning) ... I'm a happy bunny!

Or maybe people are bored of hearing middle of the road ballads manufactured especially for radio airplay. Just sayin'

Have to say, i agree with this. And i actually like take that.

This is not going well at all. The very fact that The Flood may not even manage #2 is beyond shocking. Considering it is by far one of more normal and commercial songs on the album - I can't see the general public welcoming this new sound on the same level as the previous two TT album at all. Maybe they should have released something very MOR like 8 Letters to trick the public into thinking it was full of M&S backing tracks

They've only done one song with Robbie and Gaz on lead vocals as a single, yes ok they did a duet but its not like they done loads of songs.

I've only heard 30 second clips of the album and its very electro-pop and quite 80's like in bits very different from the ballad style of the last two albums, its good they are trying something new.
