Good question!

The general view is that hmv and amazon is incorrect.

The single's downloads are only eligible for the week prior to it's physical release...whenever that maybe.

I had just got a PM from Kelly regarding this  it will be available as a download this week, but I think the dates are incorrect
Well, if MW have used it in their report, the record company must have informed the OCC that it would be out on the 24th
the label are losing out on too many chart ineligible sales, so have brought the 2 track forward a week. So this week it can chart on downloads, next week, with the 2 track and then the week after as a full release with both CD formats.
What about digital bundles that match CD2? Will they be eligible this week or do they have to wait until next week?

hmmm... interesting question! It'll be another rule that the OCC will have to make on the spur of the moment...

That said, digital bundles don't normally sell in any great amount anyway.

bloody hell what a mix up...

doubt it will have a chance at number 1 now grrr!!

Thats a mistake. Both CDs are out on the 24th!

Which bit?

Xtina's own website or HMV and Amazon?

If both are out on the 24th then I guess all of them!

lol, well I got an email about the single and it said out next week, which surprised me as I didn't know it had been brought forward. They didn't mention CD2 out a week later - made it sound like both are out next week!
You know, this would all be much simpler if the damn OCC got rid of their crappy rules and let downloads count from the moment they went on sale!

Not sure it's the OCC, they gotta make rules that make people happy.

This rule is not to let retailers of the phsyical product miss out to much.

Still largely waiting for physical formats to be brought forward nearer to when tracks start being promoted... heard Kasabian's record company are trying this next week.
