The 2 track, 10 minute CD single is one format, but an ordinary CD single can run for up to 20 minutes with 1, 2 or 3 songs (plus remixes). The Rihanna single is just classed as an ordinary (maxi) CD single, albeit one where the label have just decided to include 2 tracks and nothing else.
