You missed the chart runs! :P

(I should have known there'd be a resource on this site before I posed the question in the Predictions thread)

To be honest I didn't know the list had chart runs, I think somebody else added the chart runs at some point, as the whole list on my database does not include the chart runs.

Yes, I added them at some point but hadn't updated the more recent ones. Just a simple copy and paste job from Polyhex.

John Lennon's, "Just Like Starting Over", originally a top 10 hit I seem to remember, leapt back into the top 20 by going strait to number one, but sadly for all the wrong reasons

I think it fell 10-21 and then went up to No.1.the week after.

Shotgun 6 weeks between runs at no.1, almost beat the record set by Beatles 8 weeks in 1963!
Anyone know what is the highest number of songs that have been #1 in between another song's spells at the top (in the same chart run)?

I don't know the answer, but there were only two number ones in the Beatles' eight-week gap.

Cheers for that. I guess 4 is the most, in between Thinking Out Loud's weeks at #1 - a different one each week. There were also 4 different songs at #1 between Happy's 1st and 3rd spells at the top, but one of these was Happy itself in its 2nd spell.
