August 21, 20186 yr You missed the chart runs! :P (I should have known there'd be a resource on this site before I posed the question in the Predictions thread)
August 21, 20186 yr Author You missed the chart runs! :P To be honest I didn't know the list had chart runs, I think somebody else added the chart runs at some point, as the whole list on my database does not include the chart runs.

Yes, I added them at some point but hadn't updated the more recent ones. Just a simple copy and paste job from Polyhex.
August 21, 20186 yr John Lennon's, "Just Like Starting Over", originally a top 10 hit I seem to remember, leapt back into the top 20 by going strait to number one, but sadly for all the wrong reasons I think it fell 10-21 and then went up to No.1.the week after.
August 22, 20186 yr Shotgun 6 weeks between runs at no.1, almost beat the record set by Beatles 8 weeks in 1963!
August 22, 20186 yr Anyone know what is the highest number of songs that have been #1 in between another song's spells at the top (in the same chart run)?
August 22, 20186 yr Anyone know what is the highest number of songs that have been #1 in between another song's spells at the top (in the same chart run)? I don't know the answer, but there were only two number ones in the Beatles' eight-week gap.
August 22, 20186 yr I don't know the answer, but there were only two number ones in the Beatles' eight-week gap. Cheers for that. I guess 4 is the most, in between Thinking Out Loud's weeks at #1 - a different one each week. There were also 4 different songs at #1 between Happy's 1st and 3rd spells at the top, but one of these was Happy itself in its 2nd spell.
April 17, 20205 yr Author Updated, Dan can you add the chart runs to the last 3, I think Shotgun needs finishing lol. thanks.
