64. Use Somebody - Pixie Lott

This has had 3 separate chart runs in the official top 100 and it looks like it'll re-enter again. Surely this has to be one of the highest selling B-Sides of all time?

(And before anyone says it, Single Ladies doesn't count as it was later promoted to full single)

Yeah, it's done really well, and it peaked at #41, which was soooooo annoying. I would've loved to hear it on the chart show.

Must be incorrect the Pre order on Itunes states the 24th so I guess someone's got confused with the Irish release date.

yep i think its wrong!

Magic up to #16, No Love up to #34, Coming Home up to #36, Only Girl up to #38 and The Sky's the Limit up to #78!! Great to see all those fantastic songs climbing. :D
I think Coming Home will get top 40 this week :) would be brilliant!

I would love it to, but I don't think so. It's not getting any promotion at all, so I can't see it climbing much more, until they start playing it on the radio regularly.

And for comparison, Ridin' Solo got to #19 on iTunes the week Jason Derulo's album was released, and that didn't make top 40. :( A couple of weeks ago Wonderman peaked at #33 and got only #45 officially.

There's other examples where album tracks did make the top 40, but they still charted a LOT lower than they did on iTunes. Love the Way You Lie peaked at #2, but got #7 officially. Telephone peaked at #15, but got #30 officially. Blah Blah Blah peaked at #3, but got #11 officially. Airplanes got to #12 on iTunes and charted #twenty-something officially.

It's a shame really, as I'd love to hear a few more album tracks in the top 40.

Taylor Swift's White Horse and Pendulum's Witchcraft both went top 40 on iTunes but only made #60 and #62 respectively

And Monster by Lady Gaga got to #40 on iTunes, and charted at #68 (I think), and Alejandro got to #42, and charted at #75.

The album tracks suffer a lot from being on sale from Monday, rather than Sunday, and it's worse when we take into account that Sunday is the day that sells the most.

Another thing I've noticed is that album tracks usually chart a lot higher in the US. Like, No Love by Eminem went top 10 on US iTunes on the album's relase week (it only went to 50 on UK iTunes), Gonorrhea also went top 10, but only got top 300 in the UK. Last Friday Night from Katy Perry's album went top 20 on US iTunes too, for no apparent reason, as did Your Love is My Drug when Ke$ha's album got released, which also only went top 50 on UK's iTunes.

On a different note, we know how When Love Takes Over sounds like Clocks by Coldplay? Well, I've just listened to Pixie Lott's version of it, and it sounds like Viva La Vida! :D

Has the release date of B.O.B - Magic been brought forward? If it got released next week I reckon it'd be top 3 easily, if not better]

Brilliant for Nelly! :D

The Xmas songs are back!

I don't recall anyone else commenting on this, so hopefully I'm the first. :)

Yesterday morning the Pogues/Kirsty reappeared at #792, climbing to #708 this morning - and this morning Mariah also re-entered, at #645.

Nelly  #7

On a sidenote, Halloween is on a Sunday this year, so it's possible the Halloween songs will have a slightly better showing on the official chart.

Last year:

Thriller #43

Ghostbusters #57

Monster Mash #61

That makes more sense.

Katy is comfortable at number 2 now - she has opened up a relatively big lead over the Wanted and is still climbing.

Shindy could you have not edited your last post?

Good to hear firework strong at #2 :music:

because its on that great advert for a furniture store I think :D

its a great song though

Thanks-have not seen it, must be a good advert.

Is the McFly feat. Taio Cruz song still going to be released? And if so, how close together will they be? So I guess that Falling In Love will be the 6th song from Rokstarr or will it be scrapped?

Not really only if you are thick or deaf.

Err.. that's a bit un-called for?
