I hope the Devlin song does well as I do quite like it but I doubt it'll outpeak Brainwashed by much. Might make around #25. Devlin is like a more successful version of Fugative... all the means for being huge but he just can't make it.

Also they're both remarkably average in the way of UK rappers.

On an unrelated note, did anyone think back when I Kissed A Girl came out that Katy Perry would go on to have a further 6 top 10 hits?

I didn't think about it that much at the time to be honest, so I don't really know what I was expecting. However, this year has been amazing for her! She's been on 4 top 3 tracks this year, and Firework might be her 5th top 3 eventually. I didn't think this time last year that Katy would be so big in 2010, but on the other hand, I would never have expected her to release anything that would flop drastically.

Hot N Cold remains my favourite song of hers though. It was MASSIVE in Europe (I think it came 2nd in the year-end European chart in 2009 :o), so that makes me like, both the song, and Europe, even more.

Me :kink: Shortly after I heard 'I Kissed A Girl', I bought her album from HMV, as an import thing, and then I heard she was releasing 'Hot N' Cold'. I didn't think she'd be any bigger than HNC though. But this era seems to have stapled and confirmed her as a pop icon/superstar.

Come on Derulo! Keep climbing with TSTL!

I love both songs too. Promise This is much better than Fight for This Love.

I prefer Rihanna's song, and I don't mean this in a cruel way, but I want her to get another #2.

Does anybody know the record for the most #2s by an artist?

I don't know if it's a record, but Kylie has had 11 #2's...

HTF could Taylor Swift-Mine *not* gain from her Paul O'Grady appearance yesterday?

Frankie Sandford and Rochelle Wiseman had three #2's with S Club 8

I had no idea they'd been around the pop scene for some time!

Because Taylor Swift's fanbase don't watch POG?

Because Taylor Swift's fanbase don't watch POG?

Well *I* don't usually - but I did for that.

In any case, it is precisely the people who are not already in the fanbase that she wants to buy her music.

I should have been more clear.

Because Taylor Swift's potential fanbase don't watch POG?

Because Taylor Swift's fanbase don't watch POG?

I have a couple of massive Taylor fans as friends on facebook, and they kept posting status updates about her while she was on, so I don't know if this is true. That said, if you're saying her fanbase don't watch POG, wouldn't her fanbase already have bought the track before the performance?

I didn't watch, I was watching 'The Event'. I'll go and watch her performance on YT now

edit: Oh, see you've cleared it up now

104. I Can Talk - Two Door Cinema Club

If this manages to go top 100 officially that's another Sound of 2010 act crossed off on the list for top 100 singles.

IIRC that'll leave only three - Gold Panda, Everything Everything and Joy Orbison, of which EE have a chart album (as do Two Door Cinema Club)

I wonder how long it will take Cheryl to get over that lead

There was no reason why I thought she couldnt. She was good looking, young and had a huge hit. ;)

Cheryl will have it in the bag she is going to perform to 15million people

Im expecting it to be pretty close between the two then the inevtibale huge increase after X Factor. I would love to see how she would do without an X Factor performance for a single that hasnt been released yet. Im guessing not that brilliantly.

is Taylor's Speak Now album gonna be released as physical?

Im thinking she would as she is always on the front of magazines and they always mention her single album etc is out
