Sorry if I'm being a bit slow here, but if Rihanna is on XF at the weekend, surely she could easily knock Cheryl off no.1 next week? Rihanna fans should be more focussed on next week in that case!

She is on X Factor on Sunday, but Rihanna's sales are so big that it's not exactly a fanbase driven thing to try and get her to #1 this week.
I hope The Wanted overtake Joe in the albums!
if you add the other cheryl version she has sold 70,000+ :D

Albums added, no MW report yet, I have to bail out for a time been.

Im so glad for joe! He will have strong physical's that's for sure. I hope he can stay there. The wanted are starting to annoy me now, they're beggin their fans to buy their album.

Also, glad to see ambitions not falling out of the top 40. :D

Of course, I wasn't suggesting that, but I meant Rihanna fans shouldn't be disappointed yet

Top 40 Only

Singles

1 Cheryl Cole 68k

2 Rihanna 51k

Both surely over 100k then.

I project that, since Cheryl's sales will have been front-loaded by XF, they will tail off faster than Ri's, therefore...

Cheryl 130-135k

Rihanna 125-130k

That's pathetic! I want to like this band as their album is pretty solid but they just make my stomach recoil at their horrific stunts. They already have teenage girls up and down the country on their knees practically hyper ventilating at their mere existence [my sister is proof of this].

Joe's album is fantastic and grows on me the more I listen to it. I hope he stays at #2. Disappointing for Charlotte Church but my love affair with her is over - she's had zilch promotion, has been flogging it on QVC and well it's pretty awful :(

Are accurate figures allowed? Please remove if not.

nope were not allowed but its interesting thanks!

Edit

Is that including the version at #27? (I know it won't add too much, but still)

No I don't think that is including the #27 position.

Naughty me for not reading the red rules, I'll edit my post :(. Apologies!

Oh yes I see what you mean! Definitely has a huge chance next week. About time Rihanna had another #1, it'd be a shame if she didn't make it at some point given how huge her sales are looking to be! She is the #2 position queen.

Isn't it okay if it's under spoilers?

I'm not sure. I feel I really ought to know this! #failmod

Well, perhaps this is allowed at the very least, the News of The World showbiz editor actually tweeted the figures for all to see, so there should be no harm posting this link: http://twitter.com/#!/danwootton/status/28780912208

So pleased for Cheryl! :w00t: She will be #1 on Sunday, and them figures just prove that! :D I'm a bit disappointed Joe's album (which I never actually finished as I cringed too much) is beating The Wanted's, but hopefully it climbs during the week. :)

I wish Joe, The Wanted and Cheryl would all frig off into obscurity. They are all dreadful/embarassing to watch/listen to.

This year it's been all about USA again in terms of music and I love it

Ugh, I was a little worried SHM's album wouldn't be allowed to chart and it appears that way... either that or it's flopping.

Only 4 songs on the album are credited to 'Swedish House Mafia' so it's essentially a Various Artists album

Hopefully it's #1 on the compilations chart anyway, unless it's not allowed to chart there either.
