I also hope Matt doesn`t win but not for your reason. He is an incredibly talented singer-songwriter and would have the life sucked out of him by Syco and given no musical freedom whatsoever if he won. Far better for bland little Wand Erection to win - perfectly suited to be moulded into Simon Cowell`s little puppets and dropped 12 months later :rolleyes:

 

That's a very good point. You only need to look at how well Joe McElderry has done then compare that to Olly Murs.

 

Stats;

 

Joe's Xmas single is no. 2 (no. 1 following week by default). 'Ambitions' - first proper single but a cover version and enters the UK chart at #6. Sells 40k and has a terrible video (wtf at the dance routine? :blink: ). It all smacks of Brian Freidman sadly.

 

Olly doesn't win The X Factor, hangs out with Robbie Williams and participates in Soccer Aid 2010. 'Please Don't Let Me Go' - first single, isn't a cover version and enters the UK chart at #1. Sells 93k in its first week and has a relatively decent video without any embarrassing dance routine. New single 'Thinking Of Me' is another decent track imo and again not a cop out cover.

 

Not that covers are always a bad thing. Olly Murs seems to have more personality in one fingernail than Joe has in his whole entire body.

Exactly. Matt has already released an album (with his band Seven Summers) showing what he is capable of (and the rubbish he has been given to sing so far bear no resemblance as to who he is as an artist. Personally I hope he finishes around 3rd or 4th, and gets signed with a small independent record company who will nurture him.

I hate it when people say Rebecca has no personality. Just because she's shy means she has no personality? -_- She's a fantastic singer, and a lovely person, and I'd much rather her be shy than have the personality of someone like Wagner, or any of the other finalists.

Excellent. But it doesn't surprise me, she's very love hate but one thing's for sure, she seems to get most celebrities on her side, tweeting her performances and stuff. Keri Hilson knew about her first audition and tweeted about it, and i remember there being a vidoe on MSN or something at the red carpet on the MOBO'S and most of them that were interviewed about the X Factor seem to be backing Cher, including everyone but myselfs, fave ever x factor contestant, Gamu.
