I'll vote tomorrow evening.

In contests like this, I usually wait until 1 day before the deadline to send my votes in case I suddenly start liking a song after the 10th listen or so. :P

In the last 2 comps the song I placed at number 1 fell about a week after I sent my votes.

I think I have a Top 3. The songs suit me better this time around.

I'm in a similar positition to everyone else; the songs are constantly swapping in my ranking, although I will give them one final listen through when I get back from school tonight and put them into my final order then.

More listening today. Really loving Hurt, Boring Horror - two very contrasting songs.

Can't stand either of them!

Voted!

I wonder if someone will put my song on top at no. 1...

thought it was very bad quality this time, a mighty 16 of the songs i didnt like, there was less than 5 i didnt like in the former two UP's. this one has been borderline bjsc almost.

i doubt i will do very good this time just due to the style of my song, which i wouldnt have thought would be something that would have affected it in the last two.

if the next one is this bad i might just have to stop bothering which is a shame as i have discovered some amazing bands in the last two UP's.

I think I've found the quality about the same as the other two UP's. I've only really liked 3 maybe 4 tracks out of the first two contests with another one one added from this contest.

Am I too hard to please? Probably

Winter ones are always the worst in UPs though as most decent new bands try to break through in the earlier parts of the year when they stand more of a chance of being noticed.

My entry this time is really not something I would expect to do well in this competition - in fact it probably was better suited to a BJSC thing but I could never be bothered to enter those.

Even though I've never entered (and have no intentions of entering) BJSC, my entry was also similar to yours - the type of track that probably would be more popular on BJSC than UP but if someone discovers the track and likes it, then all well and good.

I think there are definitely a few more female led poppy songs in there this time, but it's not as if they've been sent by the 'BJSC crowd', they've been sent by various people, who've sent something completely different before. I really like most of them anyway to be honest...

There were a few songs that where either commerical rock or the more female/pop side of dance, that could also be popular with the people who participate in the BJSC; but I don't think there were any obvious case of this bar one (maybe two). Overall, at the top end, I thought the quality was very high but maybe not as unkown as the previous two as has already been discussed on here; but I've made just as many discoveries as in the other two, just with the quality at the bottom being lower. That being said, there were still four songs that didn't make my Top 12 that I would have been happy voting for. I'll give a shout out to those songs when my votes are revealed.

Anyway, my No.1 song stands quite high above the pack for just being so moving. I was hesistant at first for giving it 20 points as I wasn't sure it would be as touching without the visuals, but everytime I re-watched the youtube video it went straight back at the top of my list. I also loved the videos for Hello and Pigeon, the later being such a bright, happy video (doesn't hurt that it has a lot of half naked men in there too) while the former had a great concept and was wonderfully directed. Quite liked how chaotic the video was for Serial Killer too, definitely went well with the music, and pushed me more towards the love on the love/hate scale.

The production on Boring Horror is quite something. Each part brings something new. It's like an Erasure song from 2085. I'm ignoring the vocals. The cascading synths, the percussion. Amazing.

I'll be voting in the morning. Sorry for the huge delay. I'm just at the stage of deleting the ones I dont like.

wtf is up with neo - Serial Killer, I can't tell if it's brilliant or terrible, i feel so confused.

It's because the intro is horrendous. Then it's a run through of about 5 dance genres which is ace. I can't decide if that intro is enough to make me remove it from my list of faves.

...then cut the intro with mp3DirectCut :)

Gah, if the deadline is 3pm then i'm afraid i won't be able to vote as a result of sheer laziness/thinking the deadline was at midnight on said day D:. I'M A LET DOWN.
