Wait, RiRi actually gained over Take That again? Smash of the year...
Can Rihanna make it 3 100k weeks?

That would be absolutely incredible, and I hope it does, as the song is just as incredible, but I doubt it. :(

I don't know if I want P!nk to got top 10, but on the other hand, there's a few songs that need a bit of a clear out.

Kylie @ #70. I just hope Better Than Today steadily climbs.

If it can hang on until the airplay and video play starts that'd be wonderful, especially as it'd have less ground to make up on iTunes... but I don't see it somehow. Still, sales are sales and she'll get an okay peak through her physicals.

Big shock if TT aren't No.1. Still think physicals will do it for them though.
What's Safe? Also, I was so confused when you said Love You More, because I thought you were talking about he Eminem song, but then I remembered JLS.

I also hope The Time can be a contender for #1. Absolutely brilliant tune! It's up to #37 now. Climbing slowly but surely. The time needs the time imo.

The Westlife song  They may not be capable of #1's anymore but only a fool would rule their annual snorefest out of a chance of going top 5. Although that said, it's had far less promotion than What About Now, which still gets a lot of airplay now in fact. I haven't heard Safe anywhere - listened to it once on Youtube and that was more than enough! Their fanbase will send it up the charts though.

I never thought P!nk would be struggling for top 10 with this, I was thinking top 3/top 5... although I guess there's still time and she's not a million miles away on the pop. bars.

I actually had a niggling feeling that it was destined for low top ten, #7/8 although I'd be surprised if it didn't even manage to make that. Token Greatest Hits singles never seem to do overly well...

If TT aren't #1 this week, they won't be next week, JLS and Westlife are also performing on X Factor on Sunday and won't already have 80k+ of sales this week.

I can see Rihanna and Take That having an almight battle for the no. 1 spot. :o 'The Flood' does seem to have peaked already - either that or Rihanna has suddenly got a sales boost.

Take That will surely be no. 1 in the physicals chart but Rihanna's lead on iTunes might be the counterbalance.

Anyways, I don't mind who is no. 1 as both as brilliant tracks. That said, a part of me wants Rihanna no. 1 because that's two weeks at no. 1 and it'd be all the more impressive if 'Only Girl' sells 100k again.

I hope RiRi stays at #01 for another week. 'The Flood' is another boring dreary Take That ballad imo, yaaaaaawn. A whole lot better than 'Shame' but then, that's not saying much.

Black Eyed Peas :puke2: I was hoping it would flop, it's really not up to the standards of their old singles (especially Meet me Halfway  ).

Rihanna :cheer: So pleased it's holding off Take That- I can't see the actual charts being very close, but she should still have massive sales for a third week in a row.

it seems like rihanna gets all these #2s but when she does get #1s they're massive. i'm so glad only girl is doing so well i hope it can stay there for another week and it's looking like it might thankfully!
I'm thinking/hoping if Pink just edges into the top 10, she could stay there a few days, lazy people seeing it right there when they open the store may push it in the top 10. ^_^
Is Rihanna's lead that big over TT? Because i don't see it personally. She's about 10% in the lead, yes, but i think Take That will fill this gap with physicals easily.I am really looking forward to midweeks now.

Their fans are clearly just waiting for the CD (album).

Lola(The girlband from The Only way is Essex) Has just been released at 7am.

Wonder if this will have any impact, It's pretty bad but I downloaded it simply because it reminds me of the 90's when the spice girls were around.

I think everyone is so surprised TT aren't leading on Itunes at the moment considering all the airplay and press coverage they're getting, they automatically think Rihanna will DEFINITELY be number one then..But she really might be not. It's too early to celebrate for Rihanna fans and TT haters.

Does anyone know if midweeks will be available today or tomorrow?

I'm not a TT hater though ... but even I can see that all this fuss over The Flood is just that ... fuss - media generated hype, smoke and mirrors. It really isn't great. Plus ... they've been a bit complacent in doing no visual promo for it at all. A song this average, no matter how big the artist, needs more promotion than most.

I'm waiting for the album as I suspect a lot of TT fans like me are doing.

I love Only Girl & The Flood, but I really wouldn't mind if Rihanna stays on top and Take That entered at #2. That would be quite an interesting defeat!

I still think Take That have a chance of getting to Number 1 next week if they don't get there this week
