So the best charity telethon of (an even) year is back! And this year's line-up looks set to be as big as ever! :D It kicks of next Friday at 7:00pm and runs 'til 2:05am. There will obviously be loads of tear-jerking videos, but I love it non-the-less! The Radio Times has a brief listing of who's set to perform (I'll just direct-quote as it'll be easier:)

7:00pm // The nation's sweetheart, Cheryl Cole, gets the Pudsey party started and Formula One stars Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button team up to give some young carers an unforgettable experience.

7:30pm // Westlife wow Belfast's Odyessy Arena, Merlin has some wizard fundraising ideas and the Hairy Bikers cook up a sizzling version of Meat Loaf's Bat out of Hell.

8:00pm // Bubbly Kylie Minogue pops in to perform, and the Saturdays will take on McFly in a sparkling pop-star edition of Strictly Come Dancing.

8:30pm // The Doctor and Amy throw a tea party in the Tardis [sic] and serve up a sneak peek at this year's Doctor Who Christmas special, plus The One Show's Alex Jones will be hosting the Children in Need celebrations in Wales at Cardiff's Millenium Stadium.

9:00pm // JLS perform the official Children in Need single and TV history is made as EastEnders and Coronation Street unite for the first time ever.

9:30pm // John Barrowman hosts a fantastical musical fundraiser from Glasgow and the stars of Harry Potter work their magic for the cause. Plus a live and exclusive performance from Take That.

10:00pm [bBC2] // Mastermind Children in Need Special

10:30pm // The BBC newsreaders recruit dance supremo Louie Spence to create a headline-grabbing routine and temperatures rise in a Come Dine with Me Dragons' Den special.

11:00pm // The party continues all over the UK as Irish favourites the Script raise the roof in Belfast, plus Peter Andre performs a tribute to Michael Jackson.

11:30pm // The cast of Priscilla Queen of the Desert put on a show-stopping performance and the stars of Loose Women sing their version of a Girls Aloud classic.

12:00am // Blue Peter adventurer Helen Skelton takes on the role of Baby in the hit musical Dirty Dancing and McFly rock the Scottish Exhibition Centre in Glasgow.

12:30am // An exclusive performance from the West End smash Phantom of the Opera.

01:00am // A celebration of Children in Need's most memorable moments from the last 30 years. Plus the grand total for the 2010 spectacular is revealed.

:drama: At least the best will be first! :kink:

The novelty wears off as you get older I think :(. That lineup sounds pretty dire tbh.

+1

f*** off with more Michael Flipping Jackson tributes! Particularly from Peter f***ing Andre :puke: The Script, JLS, The Sats vs. MCfly and most importantly the Eastenders thing should be worth watching... Shame i'm at work though and can't see them. The eastenders thing is usually the best thing about the show.

I thought Cheryl was meant to be performing The Flood ?

Promise This has really grown on me though and shes a great dancer

Kylie :cheer:

Cheryl was dire, as all of her performances are.

I usually listen to it in the background, and turn off afterwards, it gets reptitive and annoying with the overuse of the phone number.

"Yes the whole nation knows the number"

Plus I think the show has passed its sell by date, I usually just watch it for music acts performing.

Passed its sell by date but makes millions of money to help people?

Also it still attracts millions of people to get involved and some of the biggest artists to be on the show.

I prefer her performances to kylies performance though.

Yeah I thought Cheryl would perform Promise This, an okay performance.

The first line put me off from even attemptin to watch this on BBC England. Cole, Hamilton and Button :manson: 3 of the nations most vile people in one room, no thank you.

I haven't watch Children In Need in years, up here its hosted by Jackie Bird. A woman who makes Ferne Cotton look like the worlds greatest presenter. I avoid BBC Scotland as much as possible because the bitch is everwhere

Kylie :cheer:

I thought Cheryl was OK.

Kylie's vocals are so weak..she's so cute though!

Westlife were okay, no brilliant, big impact performances so far..

Kylie was great.

And out of all days Cheryl bought herself £150,000 Rolls, she could have donated the money to Children In Need instead.

The Coronation Street-Eastenders thing did have some pretty genius moments  especially Gail's conversation and the final scene

Loved "East Street"! :D Brilliant mixture of the characters, and they actually worked quite well! :o

Take That were excellent. I much preferred Never Forget to The Flood. The very first time the five of them have sung the song live!

Me too. Never Forget

Loved the Take That performances. Although I like The Flood it was lovely to watch Never Forget and see the crowd get involved. That song always makes me feel good though. I'm not a proper fan of anyone else on the show, but I thought Cheryl, The Saturdays and Westlife were all good in my opinion.

Other than that my highlight would be East Street which cracked me up. I'm looking forward to Dragon's Den Come Dine With Me and the Newsreaders usually always put on a good show.
