She should do exactly the same as Susan and Cheryl, 100-110k. Probably a bit more since we're getting closer to Christmas.

Actually that is amazing...as long as she reaches 100k mark, I'll be more happy than TT breaking Oasis record :D.

MW report is in, but the sales don't tally with Kober's sales.

I'm pretty sure he was just stating his predictions, yet everyone's taking them as gospel

Funnily enough, they weren't that far out (For Take That anyway)

235K for first day... it's beyond AMAZING. The album is great BTW, the best since the comeback.

Its funny though as the figures were not rounded, that's what made them look genuine.

At times like this we need Ryan back :snif:

Not sure whether they are last week's or just total rubbish. The "last week" column is correct.

'Progress' could become the biggest selling album of the year if they continue to sell well like 'The Circus' did

They were playing the TT album in HMV yesterday and it actually sounded rather good. They were also putting huge numbers of fresh copies on the racks so it was obvious that it had been selling very well.
And to think people were saying they moved the release date to avoid a 'big albums battle' with JLS :D

its really close between JLS and TT in the singles chart if they can close the gap they cud do the chart double

With close to quarter of a million album sales in just over a day ... I'm not too sure Take That or their fans are that bothered about the singles chart to be honest. They'll probably give the singles number 1 as a gift to JLS.

Anyway ... off to Sainsbury's now for some shopping and to get the album.

Wow that's incredible for TT, wasn't quite expecting sales to be that big for first day :cheer:

Wow at Take That :o

I hope JLS manage to stay at Number 1 now. They won't get a Number 1 album next week, but I'll be happy with a Number 2 album as long as it has decent sales

I got my copy in Asda yesterday morning about 10am and the same thing was happening. Plus nearly every trolley I nosed into had a copy!

What's surprising is that it's £10 almost everywhere, except I think HMV had a one day £8 deal. Whereas The Circus 'only' sold 133,000 in comparison but I definitely remember buying my copy for £6 on the day of release! So even despite the much higher price point, it's flying out even more quickly. I wonder if Robbie hadn't rejoined if their success would have started to decrease this era? The Circus era gave them a million less album sales, a #1, #9 and #14 singles. All signs pointed towards them maybe not doing so well this time around but the Robbie boost has really made them by far the biggest band in the UK, even though they already were. Coldplay's always high opening sales look dwarfed in comparison

I just wonder where they'll go from here? Another album with Robbie? I really think they'd call it a day if he left again, I can't imagine them going back down to being a 4 piece. But they'd be calling it a day at the top of their game rather than quietly fading out at least.

Even more astounding is the fact that album sales are so dire this year, yet Take That have done MASSIVELY.

Rihanna would surely get close to 100k by the week's end and by the order the albums are listed, I'm guessing P!nk is at #4 behind Springsteen. Hope she can snatch top 3 though I'm sure she'll be a more consistant seller over Christmas.

I don't think TT will beat Oasis but 600k seems likely as I'd imagine they're very frontloaded.
