hopefully Love Goes Down will get a nice bit of promotion and hit top 40, one of the best songs in that album

I love LGD too - one of my faves from the album - should've been released earlier than as the 5th single

Love Goes Down should have been 3rd, then Prayin' 4th and that should have been it.

The Recluse was a bizarre choice, he's very lucky it got top 40

It wasn't a single but the video was supposed to serve as the very first part of the Strickland story with the "writing on the wall" (predicting Strickland's downfall). No idea why Love Goes Down is being released last when it's the beginning of the Strickland story, and I think The Recluse was a wasted single opportunity.

 

IMO the order for singles should have been

 

Love Goes Down > She Said > Prayin' > Traded in my Cigarettes > Free

Very, very good and atmospheric video for Cheryl's 'The Flood'. Unfortunately it's the only her single which is totally forgettable and passable for me. :(
