November 25, 201015 yr What did JLS's debut album sell in 1st week? Will they even hit 150,000 this week? Surprised after Love You More doing so well and being #1, and also not dropping that much on the chart. I expected it to be a bit more close between #1 and #2. Around 230,000 It's the case for most Reality tv artists though - Leona Lewis, Susan Boyle etc.. This is just their first week sales. They could continue to sell a large amount especially if they are planning on releasing more singles from it this time 150,000 would still be impressive for a 2nd album. Some artists struggle to sell that much overall let alone within one week

Some artists struggle to sell that much overall let alone within one week Its not just reality tv artists Sabrina, most 2nd albums go down in sales compared to their debut first week sales! Leona sold 160,000 i think first week of her 2nd album, Burke sold 150,000 of her debut in first week (i think - not 100% on those figures but i think it is roughly) so Burke's 2nd album sales may be about 100,000. Subo dropped a lot too, but she's still doing well. They should still sell well, not sure if it'll hit 1million in long run though, unless they have a deluxe but thats unlikely. Feels like absolutely ages ago that The Club is Alive was released, i remember they performed it on britains got talent! :o They will sell really well throughout the end of the year, and with a 3rd single out in Jan that will help too, it'll be a successful album for sure.

Surprised after Love You More doing so well and being #1, and also not dropping that much on the chart. I expected it to be a bit more close between #1 and #2. My estimation in 164,4K which is great considering that it pretty much the amount Leona's 2nd album did. Their 2nd album was never going to be as successful as the 1st one (which could get 5Xplatinum soon). The 2nd album of JLS could still hit 800K imo (depends on the success of their next singles, any estimations with one week data are too simplified) I also have for this week(estimations): Westlife-->101,5K TT-------->222,7K (I would expect 250K+)
November 26, 201015 yr Not next week, but the week after on the 11th they have: http://www.itv.com/presscentre/pressreleas...ls/default.html yeah but that wont be enough to boost them to top spot as Michael Jackson will have an album out and Progress will still be selling strong, i think it will drop to around 7 or 8 and boost back to 4 or 5 after the ITV thing thing is tho the people who will watch that JLS show will most probably have already bought the album or singles or both so i wouldnt expect a massive increase in sales, probably around 20 or 30k and with the X Facor final being on that night it might take away the limelight from JLS and keep it firmly on the winner.....who knows!

November 26, 201015 yr Thanks EPK, I was doing that though  Martin/Mikey asked me to cover as "no-one would be around" :D Only a cut-and-paste jobby from Haven so no worries! Edited November 26, 201015 yr by eightiespopkid
November 26, 201015 yr Ooh, MCR dropping out of the top ten... :/ And I'd say Duffy has a secure Top40 placing now that she's higher than Shayne Ward, who keeps on dropping. Also, is Love You More being cherry-picked on JLS' album? If so I reckon that's the reason they're higher than Olly since their margin is so small...

November 26, 201015 yr You know how to cheryl-selling Album until Thursday ? I don't think this forum could ever cope with two French people speaking rubbish English.
November 26, 201015 yr Surely there has to be information missing if Kylie isnt top40 in the singles since its been 30-32 on i-tunes every day this week pretty much. Edited November 26, 201015 yr by Dannyboy
November 26, 201015 yr Author Kylie must be #41 surely, she probably push Shayne Ward out of the top 40 by the end of tomorrow sales. So that's 6 new entries and 4 climbing within the top 75 chart due to cherry pickers from the NOW album, I guess Cee-Lo Green and The Wanted [ALW] must be on the album. Thanks for the updates and support, my mind is not with it at the moment.
November 26, 201015 yr Rihanna will overtake Cee-Lo by sunday I think- Olly could overtake JLS, but then again he could'nt I hope Olly re-enters with PDLMG- then he'd overall get a tenth week top 40- which would save it from being a non number 1  wow, ouch at MCR- they were top 5 at the beginning of the week :o
November 26, 201015 yr What?! Duffy is Top 40, yet The Script, who have been ahead of her on iTunes with ther highest entry (Plus having another entry Top 150) pretty much all week, and they're not top 40?! :manson: GUTTED.

The Script are probably at 41 or 42, they should be top 40 by Sunday unless Brett overtakes them IMO 'Nothing' has been a huge flop either way... Edited November 26, 201015 yr by What's My Name?
